I'm New to the Carlsbad Area and I Need a Pediatrician.

My kids' pediatrician is Dr Michael Krak of Cassidy Pediatrics in Vista, CA. He is a great doctor and the office has long hours (open until 8PM and by appointment on weekends). He may be a little far from you but his ph# is ###-###-#### and address is 2067 W. Vista Way #280 Vista, CA 92083. I also like that being seen same day (usually by him) or one of his associates is not a problem.

My sister-in-law and friends take their children to El Camino Pediatrics at 477 N. El Camino Real Encinitas, CA 92024 ph#: ###-###-####. This is a large and pretty popular medical group in the Carlsbad/Encinitas area so its sometimes difficult to be seen by your primary pediatrician.

A few of my friends take their children to Dr Ti Ching. She is a sole practitioner but gives a lot of personal attention to her patients. Even though it is a sole practice it is not difficult to reach her after hours and she will come into the office to see a patient. My friends just love her. If you're near TriCity or don't might driving there, I like Cassidy Pediatrics (not at the hospital, but a couple buildings down). We see Dr. Lynette Asselin and love her :)

We've also seen other doctors there. I like that they have convenient hours and other doctors available if we can't get our primary.

Pediatric Medical Associates are a great group of 5 doctors. They have evening and weekend hours and are locatead next to Tri City Hospital. I live in Carlsbad and it takes me 10 min. to get there. The phone # is ###-###-####.

Hi I saw your request and had to respond! I recommend La Costa Pediatrics 3257 Camino de los Coches, Carlsbad ###-###-####. This office is great. It is a small and personable office unlike the other offices that are located here in the area that give you short appts and dont listen to your needs. The doctors here will take as much time as needed for every appt to get the proper care for your child. The doctors and nurse practitioner here are amazing and the staff is awesome. The office is very clean and kid friendly. There are ALWAYS appointments available no matter what it is. They even have saturday hours at the other location and a doctor on call always available. Please consider this office for your child. I know from experience that other local offices are not as great. Hope this helps!!

This is pretty much where everyone goes. It is a big practice and the staff are excellent. For sick visits, they follow up with you the next day to make sure your child is doing fine. They have great hours and it is pretty easy to get in for either a wellness checkup or a sick visit. My kids are 3 & 6 yrs. I've seen all the doctors and they are all great!

My daughter is now 17. We have been with El Camino Pediatrics in Encinitas (477 N. El Camino Real) for 17 years. All of the docs are wonderful. If you come in with an urgent problem you will see the current available doctor. For longer term, you can choose your Primary Care Physician with whom to build a long-term relationship. Some of the long-term docs no longer take new patients as PCP. I currently recommend Reinhardt and Gillin.
They take all kinds of insurance, and practice at the major hospitals in the area. They are all wonderful with children (as they should be.)

I love my pediatrician but he is in vista. His office is next to Tri-city Hospital which is right off the 78 highway. Dependeding on what part of Carlsbad you are in it is really not that far. His name is Douglas Stein the number is ###-###-#### Hope that helps.

We live in Carlsbad/encinitas area, I have an almost 4 year old and a one year old. We go to el camino pediatrics at 477 el camino real. I have been VERY happy there, can always be seen within an hour or so if I call for last minute appt, open until 8, open weekends, great nurses. Lots of dr's, some of my favorites being dockweiler, frumin, snyder-block, levy, reinhardt, wood, gillin. Hope that helps!
