Need OB/GYN Oor midwife...........Salem

I am currently 19 weeks pregnnat with my second baby and last month when I went to the Salems Womens Clinic I was told after August they are no longer taking OB patients! Due to conflicts with Salem Hospital or something......but I need to find a new dr or midwife. SO far The salem nurse midwives are not taking new patients! So they are out. But if any of you know a good ob/gyn midwife please let me know! I am starting to worry I wont find one to continue my prenatal care!! I would prefer a female....Im not comfortable with guy drs.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Well, thanks to someones advice on here I called the Salem Clinic and I was able to get in with a Dr. Cheryl Lugenbill. I haven't met her yet but I have been there twice this week already and everyone seems really nice. I am just so happy that I have found a woman dr and she can deliver me at SALEM BIRTH CENTER! I will let you all know how my appt goes Tuesday and what I think of her. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for your refferals and advice! It helped me sooooooooo much! I LOVE all you MAMASOURCE Mommies! THANK YOU!!!!

I had the same issue with SWC! I ended up going to The Salem Clinic on Fairgrounds Road and seeing Dr. Laura Chong. She's really nice and quick! I too have a toddler, so it's nice to be in and out of those appointments. The number is ###-###-####. I was referred to her by a friend, and she's an awesome doctor. Check her out.

It is a little bit of a drive but there is a great midwife in Stayton named Patti Sherman. She works for Yeager family practice in Stayton. IT is well worth the drive> she encourages kids to be there at thier siblings deliever so we had my $ year old there and it was awesome> they deliever at stayton hospital which is very small but they give you alot of personalized attention and let you sleep at night. Hope this helps!

Check with the Salem clinic. There is a OBGYN there by the name of Cheryl Luggenbill.(sp) She delivered my first son. (Though she was with the Womens Clinic then)

She was a good Dr. Good Luck!

Gosh, that is too bad. I wish I had advice. I am trying to get pregnant right now, and talked to Dr. Harmon two weeks ago. She didnt say anything about not being able to accept me after I was pregnant. Are you a fairly new patient? This concerns me as well. Because I dont know what I will do either, if I cant go back to her and the midwives there!!

I had Dr. Peterson from the Salem Clinic. I unfortunately transferred my care to SWC, and ultimately regret it. Dr. Peterson was very informal with me in every question I had. I wish I had stayed with her, but now I'm stuck with a clinic that I'm not happy with (because it's too late to transfer care, I'm due any day now). I swear SWC is like the mafia if you owe them a dime, lol. Ugh, good look, hope this helps.

K. Tihanyi was my OB when I had my (now 15-year old) daughter. I don't know if she's still around, but she was absolutely awesome!
