Need Low Cost or No Cost Therapist in Venice Area.
HI,
I'm looking for a low cost or no cost therapist for my 13yr old daughter. She has alot of emotional issues. She has ADD and is Dyslexic. She has been acting out alot lately. We were in therapy for a bit but the cost became to much for me to handle.

Try Airport Marina Counseling Service. They're near the airport, but they offer great counseling services and they take into account what you are able to pay.

2 Things for you:
1: Therapy
I don't know your religious background. I am metaphysical. So metaphysics is not a religion, it's a thought. If you have heard of Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City, California, they have counselors who work on a sliding scale. You can visit Agapelive.com to find out more about them. Again, it is not religious. If you like Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, etc. as authors then Agape will have the correct counseling for you.
2. NAET.com
Many physical problems that we have are a result of a problem that is overlooked in Western Medicine. I have had allergies my entire life and have suffered many many physical problems because of allergies. Last year, at 37 years old, I discovered NAET. NAET.com are a group of allergists around the world who ELIMINATE allergies. My allergies are severe and I have an entire list a full page long of all the physical manifestations of allergies. Physical manifestations that I have suffered for my entire life. Since my treatments, I have noticed many changing for the better in my health. And I have lost 20 pounds. (One of the problems that I had was weight gain - due to allergies). Try calling Thalians at Cedar Sinai. You can also try the Maple Center in Beverly Hills. If that's too far for you they may have referrals. Good luck.

You obviously have a lot on your plate so I don't know if you have any spare time to work with your daughter yourself but if you do there is an AMAZING technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) which could go a long way to helping all of you. You can learn a bit about it (there is an introductory video) and download the manual for FREE at
It is very easy and simple to learn (though mastering it takes a lifetime) The best thing is that as a tool, once you teach it to your daughter she can use it for herself whenever she feels the need and let me tell you that is the most empowering thing ever.
It has helped me and my family beyond words and I have even caught my six year old daughter using it on herself.
There is also a list of practitioners by area and you could find one near you who might be able to do a reduced rate.

My thirteen y/o son was having issues also. He started out getting counseling at his school for free. Once I realized that he needed something else I took him to Airport Marina Counseling Services. They go by income and are really great with him. Here is the contact info
