Need Help with Some Symptoms I Am Having at 37 Weeks!!!

Call your doctor!! I'm not sure, but I think I had heard the one time that your pubic bone is in two pieces and it moves a little to let the baby's head drop. So that might just be the pressure of the baby's head on there. Any kind of discharge this far into your pregnancy needs to be looked at.
Don't worry about looking like an idiot or something for calling your doctor. Better to be safe than sorry.

Please don't self-diagnose - call your doctor or go see your doctor. 37 weeks is considered full term so if your situation is threatening to your health or your baby's health, you should get a green light to be induced or deliver.

You sound a little spooked, so I don't want to say anything that might spook you more. Speaking as a mom who lost a baby at 32 weeks, NEVER hesitate to call the doctor, no matter how silly you may think it is. I don't even care if it's for a headache... call them! It's their job to take care of you for even the slightest distress... that's what they were trained to do. Trust your gut instincts and "spook" factor, it's what's being a Mommy is all about. If they give you any flack about calling, tell them off and go to the emergency room. Get angry, get tough... it's your body and your baby. By the way, pelvic pressure, pain and some dishcarge can sometimes be the sign of early labor, it doesn't hurt to have it check it out. Good luck and blessings to your little one!! :)

Sounds like you are going into labor... or starting... the brown discharge sounds like your mucus plug... it all sounds normal...

Well, with my last pregnancy my pelvic was soooo sore. sometimes i could not walk at all. it was through most of my pregnancy and my dr. said it was completely normal. so, i would not be too concerned with that. as far as your discharge, could be your mucus plug. or it could be a little blood...but, it is brown, so not to worry cuz it is old blood. i learned that too. the swelling, well, that is just part of being pregnant. stay off your feet as much as possible. and your body could be getting ready for the delivery of the baby by having diaherrea. cuz, that happens too.... i have never heard of spd symphsis pubis dysfunction....i, myself, would not call the dr. until you showed more signs of labor. all of these other things are normal. they are different pregnancies for everyone. so, i would wait on that...

I had same thing at 37 weeks (pressure on pelvic bone and brown discharge) and I went to my OB he said I am still closed and uptight. But I did deliver at 38 weeks.@@..YOU NEVER KNOW

I would definitely call the doctor! I had similar symptoms and it ended up that I had a DVT. I'm not saying that to scare you . . . I was convinced I had the SPD you mentioned and was still trying to convince my docor of that even while she was sending me over to the hospital to be checked for a DVT. BE safe and call your doctor! GOOD LUCK!!! Hopefully you're just getting ready to deliver!

Hey my name is mary and I had the same symtoms when I was pregnant with my first daughter, I didn't go to the doctor or anything I just kept walking the next thing I knew I was 4 cm, Its normal. your just having some contractions but you feel them most in your back. and the discharge you might be close to loosing your mucus plug I did also

Hi K.. My only advice to you is to call the doctor. My doctor much preferred me to call with any questions or concerns than to not call. They are there to help you! I'm not sure about the brown discharge, but meconium comes to mind (I had meconium in my water (baby went #2 in utero). This didn't come out of me until my water broke though. If there is meconium the dr. would possibly have you deliver sooner. Doctors expect to get lots of calls, especially for a first time mom. Good luck & congrats!!

I just had my 4 th baby and I say CALL YOU DOCTOR........You might be in early stages of labor....GOOD LUCK.

Call the doctor right away and if you can't get ahold of him, don't wait, go to the nearest emergency room. A doctor is the best judge of your symptoms. Good Luck and God Bless

Oh hon, i think you're ready to blow! :) GOOD LUCK, the pubis does become painful for some, as the baby's head makes its way down, i'd go to my dr. to check it out, as it can cometimes mean the baby is turned backward (not to frighten you, and it's easily fixed). The diarreah usually happens just before labor (at least, for me), so maybe a couple of days... again, good luck!!! :) and call your dr!! :) cheers

It all sounds normal to me, and I would not get scared. If labor is starting, your body will continue to let you know. However, I would definitely call the doctor. Remember that you are paying your doctors. They are there to provide a service for you. If you have a question about something you are experiencing, then call them. I understand not wanting to bother people as I'm the same way, but you should not have to spend your time worrying about something when the doctor has an answer for you. This is their job. This is what you hired them for. Find out from the expert. And if they make you feel like you're bothering them, then accept that they just have a bad bedside manner, and don't let it bother YOU. You have enough to think about with your baby on the way sometime in the next few weeks! Think about you and your baby, and do not worry about what your doctor thinks of you. call you doctor! i don't know what it is, but you don't want to mess around with anything. They will tell you over the phone if they want to see you.

Sounds like the start of labor - contact your care provider - but don't panic... labor, especially for first time moms, takes hours (at least!). And just to clarify... 37 weeks is a full term delivery, no worries. 40 weeks is the average - anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks is a nice healthy green light! Congratulations and get ready for the ride of your life...

All good advice. You should absolutly call your Dr. That is what they are there for.

I went through exactly what you are saying. Monday I had a little bit of bloody discharge and diarrhea, Tues. I went for a routine appt. (the Dr. said soon...but probaly a week or so), Wed. had terrible pains in my lower back (went in for the monitor and they said they thought I had a urinary tract infection) and then my water broke Thursday morning at 2:00 am. My son was delivered at 37 weeks and 1 day. Hindsight is always 20/20.

It sounds like you are in labor, just a few weeks too early. Has anyone checked to see if you have are dialated?

I agree with Cheryl- maybe talk to your doc's nurse on the phone, but no matter what get yourself checked out by a Doctor.

Hi, play it safe and call your doctor's office. At least talk to the nurse and tell her your symptoms and she can tell you if you should come in or not. I almost lost one of my babies because I waited too long calling my doctor . I didn't want to bother my doctor either. If you are concerned about something call your doctor. That is their job, you are not bothering them. Good luck and take care of yourself!

Call your doctor ASAP. I had just a very little brownish discharge and I called. They had me come in to the hospital and hooked me up to some machine and said I was having contractions. I was able to hold off for 3 days, and wound up having my twins at almost 31 wks. They are happy, healthy, intelligent 5 yr. olds today! It's always better to be safe than sorry.

I am not an expert and I also didn't labor because of breech position but some women experience bowel issues/diarrhea prior to labor. You are at term so you can deliver anytime between 37 weeks and 40 something....but if your worried call the doctor. But all the symptoms sound normal for preparation for delivery.

I would call the dr. You know what, that is what they are there for. This only happens when you are pregnant so I would call.... Not matter what your concern is.

Seriously there is nothing to small when it comes to your child. IYou may be right but it could be something they can look at and there may be something to make you more comfortable!
