Need Good Detangle-er

Hi
My 15 month old has always had a lot of hair and it always gets tangled and fuzzed up in the back. She goes to bed all nice and silky, and wakes up with a knotted halo. It is so hard to comb through. Does anyone know of a good detangler for kids?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Wow! Thanks for all the great ideas. I will definately try them. I never had this problem with my now 3 1/2 year old, and my 15 month old has always had this problem. I do use the Baby Basics which is better than water, but I still feel like I am working way too hard. It helps holding the hair close to her scalp so as i comb I dont pull constantly on her head. In the last few nights I have also found something that distracts her enough for me to work on the knots (sitting in sink and playing with the tooth brushes etc). Her hair is only to her sholders, but I may try the low pig tails after her bath at night until I find something that works on her hair. Right now she does not sleep with a pillow, but I think the silk/satin idea is great as well. Again, THANKS!

WAL-MART has a great generic detangler for $1.50-2.00. It works as well as No More Tangles, but for lots less.

I have used a few detanglers-Infusiam 23, Pantene, Suave have all worked good for me. My two daughters have used them and they work real good. They make the hair soft and shiny. Good luck.

Johnson and Johnson makes a detangler spray/conditioner. I've used a lot of different things on my son (and various other kids!), and this one seems to always work well! Just as good as the expensive treatments.

I have tried suave and baby basics from Jewel. The baby basics is way better. My girls have the same rats nest every morning.

Good luck!

The cheap stuff does just as good as the pricey stuff. Go for Loreal kids or the Breck stuff. One is 2 bucks, the other one. But they work about the same.

Hi J.,
I use BioSilk Kids for my daughter. I get it from my hair dresser and it smells like bubble gum. They have a whole line of products (and smells) for different types of hair along with the de-tangler. Good Luck!
