Need a Physician Who'll Do a VBAC

Hello All,
I need a physician who will allow me to attempt a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). I was able to do this with our daughter Katelyn and it went incredibly well. I had three pushes and she was out.
By the time I have another child (hopefully), it should be a good five-six years since the c-section.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
P.

Hi P.,
It sounds like you had a VBAC after a c/section and things went well. In this case, have you asked your OBGYN if he or she will consider another trial run, assuming your OBGYN is still in practice or in the same city. Most OB's are not doing VBAC anymore due to the risk factors, but I think you already know this. However, since you have had a VBAC before, I don't think it will hurt to ask. My suggestion is to call around the SA area and speak to a triage nurse and ask. Call Seven Oaks Women Center and ask to speak to a triage nurse. Ask for Dr. Hedges nurse, or Dr. Harle nurse. It's a start. Blessings and your line of work sounds really cool. Their number is ###-###-####.

Check with Northeast OBGyn (they have multiple locations ###-###-####). My doctor gave me the option of trying a VBAC but after great C-section experience even though it was an emergency C-section, I was fine with having a second (I know - not everyone's experience). Dr. Theis has been my OBGyn for almost 20 years. I won't go anywhere else.

P.,
Riverwalk OBGYN is one of the only clinics that do VBACs. The clinic has multiple doctors and multiple locations. I had baby #3 in February and found them for the sole purpose of VBAC. Great doctors who listen and care about what you want.

P.,

as long as the c-section cut was horizontal and not vertical, you shouldn't have a problem having Dr. Patience Miller pushing for a vaginal birth.

she is located at 7922 Ewing Halsell Dr. Her number is ###-###-####. She just delivered my baby and I absolutely love her; will continue to see her for all my gyn and any future ob issues.

Hope this helps.

I don't know if they do them, but another good place to look is Women Partners in OB/GYN. http://www.womenpartners.com/.
They are a very good practice, and they have relatively low c-section rates.

I know it's possible here because I have a friend who is doing it. I forget where - it's somewhere small. Not one of the major hospitals.

Good luck!
