Lying in bed is not the answer/ it will only make things worse/ Make an aappt. with a pain specialist inder the heading of pain doctor. There is help available. also, an exercise program would make you feel better and give you strength, more energy, etc. be persistent/ keep looking until you find a physician that will LISTEN to you!!!!! good luck!!

Have you been on the Depo shot? I had a mysterious pain much like you are describing about six years ago. I also had a low grade fever with it most of the time, and my white blood cell counts were elevated (at one point to extreme amounts). I would only be able to walk about 20 feet, on a good day, before having to sit down from the pain.

I had tests to check my appendix and my gull bladder. They even checked to see if my ovaries might be to blame. I was in and out of doctors and surgeons for about two months. I was going days at a time without eating because it hurt too bad; but then I realized I was still gaining weight during this time because the Depo was messing with my hormones.

When it was time for my next shot, I decided to switch from the Depo shot to a low-dose pill. Within a few days, the pain was almost completely gone. The fever disappeared just as fast. My white blood cell counts returned to normal. Evidently the Depo shot was reeking havoc on my system.

If you're not on Depo, I suggest looking into other medications you might be taking. One of them could easily be to blame.

If this pain is so severe that ur bed ridden and on medication then their has to be something that doctors missed. As someone personally and know many family member that have gone through the same hassle I know first hand that doctors aren't always right in dignosis and if I were you I would seek different opinions from as many doctors as you need to until you get relief. If doctors can help cancer patients live life normally then it's surely possible for you to get the help you need. A few months after the birth of my first child I began getting severe stabbing chest pain...I took many upon many of trips to the ER with vomiting and chest pain so bad that when it would happen all I could do was lay on the floor as if I was having a heart attack and take anything I could get for pain to get it to go away. Doctors kept telling me that it was heart burn..they ran test also and made sure my heart was ok but that's all they did and sent my home with Mylanta. One night I woke up with it happening again so I took my usual pain med for it. I went to sleep and woke up completely hunched over and in severe pain...when I got to the ER the doctor asked me in the most accusing way if I had been binge drinking. I said, do I look drunk to you? He said, well I want you to know that were gonna run blood test so tell me if theres anything now. I guess he was trying the scare tactic...after cussing him out I told him that it was about time they actually got off their butt and done something. I was dignosed with gaw bladder stone and one had gotten lodged in the duct of my gaw bladder preventing anything to pass which was why I woke up hunched over. He said that since the dignose had took so long my pancres and liver were so inflated that I would need a week stay in the hospital and needed to be given my food by IV for a 30 min in and out patient surgery that people usually leave 30 mins after getting. After my care they actually had the nerve to try and sue me for the bill in which my insurance was suppose to pay for but due to their delay in finding the source the insurance ran out.Pff, I wont be paying that anytime soon. I hope this helps you realize that you and only u know ur body and if somethings not right then sometimes u need to step on a few toes and go an extra mile to get the help you need, no one else is suffering but you so no one but you is going to put forth the effort to get ur relief.

Coming from someone who has done this could it be that you're making yourself sick? I can stress or worry about something so much i can make myself sick sometimes. I've recently discovered hypnotherapy and it's really doing great things for me. I've been less anxious and feeling a little better(it's a long road). If you've seen dr's and tried meds maybe it's time to try some unconvential things. Like herbs and yoga or breathing or the hypnotherapy. My husband takes percocet for his back pain and somtimes he wishes he didn't have to rely on a pill to feel better so I kinda know how you feel. If you need someone to talk to feel free to email me at ____@____.com. I dunno if I can be of much help but I'm pretty good at listening:) Good luck

Hi J. - I would recommend going to see a really good chiropractor. Sometimes there are some things that doctors and drugs can not fix. Maybe there's a misallignment somewhere in your back causing all the pain. So I would definately try that and massages out and see if they can fix some of the pain. Hope you feel better!!!

I have had so many problems with my abdominal area that I feel your pain. First question, what type of doctors have you been to? There are many things that this could be. Did any of them try you on a special diet? What other medications, both prescription and over the counter, do you take. I was on One-a-Day weight smart, loved it! But after being on it for a few months I started having problems with my gall bladder. I stopped taking it, not because I thought that was the problem, but because I ran out and forgot to buy more. The pain went away. I started taking it again after 6 months of not being on it and started getting the pain back. Quit taking it and tada! no more pain. I also have decreased motility, so food does not digest the way it is supposed to. This causes abdominal pain and nausea. I was diagnosed with celiac sprue when I was 17 after having my appendix removed. The symptoms were the same as appendicitis, but I did not have one, so they looked at other things.
I would check into a gluten free diet. It would not hurt, it is just a little inconvenient, especially if you like carbs. No wheat, oats, rye, spelt, or barley. No drinks containing caramel coloring. There are tons of books out now, plus a lot of web sites. Hope this helps a little.

Please go to the site below and take a look. I was in your place for 3 long years before I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia. If the information on this site sounds like you, set up an appointment with a rheumatologist and then send me message. I may be able to help you out.
