Moving in June

Hey mamas,

I'll be leaving Michigan in June when my son gets out of school and moving to Colorado, around the Arvada area. Money will be tight, but I'll obviously need an apartment or something for the kids and I. Does anyone know of a 2 bedroom apartment that won't break the bank in the Arvada area? Preferably around $600/month.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the advice ... the only reason I'm looking at this information now is that I need to get permission from the courts (already have it from my ex to take the kids out of Michigan) and I want to make sure I can tell the judge exactly what my plans are to hopefully convince the Judge to allow me to move out of state.

Thanks again mamas!

That's 10 months from now. You will be better off looking closer to 30-60 days before your move date. Anything that is available now will not likely be available in 10 months. Find a realtor in that area that does rentals and they will be able to help and have great advice. Good luck.

Though it is too early to secure housing, it's probably a good time to get on waiting lists if you are going to need any housing aid. You may qualify for reduced rent if you can prove income. The cost of living is high in Colorado, so, the help may be a life saver. Contact the county where you want to live and ask about HUD rentals, section 8, or any other rental assisstance they know of.

You can contact a realtor in Arvada and they can help and give you a better idea as to what the resonable amount for a 2-3 bedroom rental would be, maybe you can even find a rental house?

ForRent.com & Apartments.com both have "income verification required" listings if you're low income.
