I am seven weeks pregnant with my second child. And I am so much sicker than I was the first time around! I am very nauseous all day and i am wondering if anyone has tried sea bands and what their experience was. I would really appreciate any suggestions or help. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I lived on Propel fitness water - it has a ton of b vitamin in it, and made me feel much, much better. It was the only thing I found that worked for me.

I tried wearing them, they really bothered me so i didn't continue but they might work for you i think everyone is different. You might try eating a tablespoon of peanut butter before you go to bed that worked for me anyway. good luck

If you have insurance, ask your doctor about Zofran. It's the only thing that helped me. Well that, and eating frequently!

This one came from my OBGYN I was very skeptical but it worked. Buy a can of peaches empty the syrup in a glass with ice and use a spoon to take little of the juice. Seriously it worked. Good luck!

I LIVED in my sea bands with my first one!!!
It does take some time to get used to them for sure, but they helped out tons!
Well ok I didn't think they did at first, but one day after having worn them for over a month I forgot to put them back on after a shower and was the sickest I had been in some time!
While it didn't take all the sickness away from me, what the few hours of not having them on showed me, was what life would have been like if I had not had them on!!!
So try them out and give it a few days. Wear them 24/7 except showering of course. I wore mine for nearly 5-6 months.
To me even if they took away a little or a lot, any sickness gone was a good thing.

I tried them and all they did was hurt my wrists and cut off circulation to my hands. Other things I found to help a little were ginger ale and something to suck on. Although mine got so bad I had to use medication. If nothing works for you and you're willing to go the medication route ask your doctor about generic Zofran. It's made for chemo patients to stop the nausea so its really gentle on your system.

YES YES YES! Get Sea Bands! My Third pregnancy I was soooo sick, way more than with my other two. I tried everything. My doctor kept telling me to get Sea Bands but I thought they sounded so silly. Then one day in desperation, I told my husband that I'd try anything and to go get them. CHANGED MY LIFE! I felt better within an hour. Kept them on for long periods of time and I was a new woman. Even though I wasn't as sick with the first two,so wish I had discovered them in my first pregnancy!

I haven't tried sea bands, but when I was pregnant with morning sickness, I got acupuncture treatments. 2 treatments and I never had morning sickness again. Just be sure to find someone good. Good luck.

I tried sea bands with my last pregnancy (number 7), and couldn't tell if they were even working. Sorry.

I wore Seabands about 22 hrs a day with both my girls--they did seem to help a little. i kept crackers by the bed & ate during the night & when i woke up. i also got crystallized ginger from Penzeys (www.penzeys.com), which is sooo yummy & not like the store-bought stuff. with my last pregnancy i did get acupuncture a few times--that helped for a couple days (it's typical that it helps for a short period of time, my acupuncturist said, but at least it provides some relief!) drop me a note if you have questions. I went through it for months with my daughters!

Try drinking a tablespoon of unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2 or 3 times a day. This will help your pH balance and should help alleviate your morning sickness. There is more info here>

When you are sick, you should try everything until you find something that works. Here are my ideas: Try a 1/2 unisom and 1/2 B6 vitamin (no prescription needed), or phenergen but it will make you sleepy. If that's not working well, try a B-vitamin shot from the doctor. None of these worked well for me, but have helped others I know. I have tried everything from those wrist bands to ginger pops to hypnosis with no success. Only Zofran (it comes generic now- so it is not too costly) took off the edge. Or you could get Zofran from an IV.
Your nausea may peak at 8th/9th week. And then VERY gradually leave. SO it may be a while. Nausea statistically is a sign of a healthy baby, but your doctor can say for sure in your case.
Best of luck.
