A friend of mine used the morning after pill, it didn't work. She is now pregnant. She says she didn't take the last pill--whatever that means. I have read it is 4 pills. He supposedly thought he was infertile, so she didn't worry about that last pill. She has an appointment next week with a doctor. But I would like to share information with her from anyone who has been there or knows what adverse effects it can have on the fetus? Will the baby be fine? She is now considering going thru with the pregnancy. I am concerned for the baby. Thank you for your time.
The Morning After Pill has no adverse effect on the fetus. i know it sounds funny, but it really isn't an abortion pill. just a very strong dose of the hormones also in regular birth control. It will prevent implantation but not disturb an existing pregnancy.

should be fine! tell her not to worry, overly stressing out will effect the fetus more than the hormones that are already in her system!
I worried about this too when I found out I was pregnant. It doesn't affect the baby. It's designed to get rid of the egg if fertile, but if you are already pregnant (past a week or so) then it does nothing. depend on the brand, depends on how many pills. I had the plan-b and it only had 2 and took 10 or 12 hours apart (I can't remember for sure). I think they are only one now.
It won't have any effects on the fetus. She was most likely already pregnant from an earlier sexual encounter when she started taking the "morning after" pills. They'll keep an embryo from implanting, but they won't force a miscarriage. I was taking birth control pills when I got pregnant and had no idea I was pregnant, so I kept taking them until I missed a period. I DID get so horribly sick it was unreal -too many hormones!
She should go through with the pregnancy. Don't let her take the pill again now! I've read horror stories about mom's taking the morning after pill once they found out they were pregnant because it didn't work the first time... don't do it no matter what the doctor says. But I haven't heard any adverse effects it might have on the baby. It seems like the baby should be fine...I just read an article about the morning after pill and it was freaky.
