We need to do some updating to our kichen (perhaps the harvest gold everywhere is a bit dated). We will likely be putting our home on the market in the next few months so want to make it more sellable without breaking the bank.
We will likely re-paper or paint, get new appliances, new counter tops and change out the hardware.
I am assuming the appliances will be delivered and installed - but need recommendations for the countertops and paint / paper. (Assuming we will do the hardware ourselves.)
Let me konw if you have any recommendations. If all else fails we will likely go through Home Depot or Lowes.

Whatever you do - DON'T go through Home Depot Home Services. Very expensive and poor quality. I work at a glass & mirror company and we get complaints from their customers all the time.

I'm with Tanya - do not use Home Depot!!!!! A friend of mine just went through a horrible ordeal with them and she finally got things fixed and her money back after 6 months of fighting with them. They (home depot) really doesn't screen the people/companies that they send out to houses. Seriously, from what I understand they will approve just about anyone.
My mom recently redid her home & used Lowes for the counter tops and they did great. One piece was cut incorrectly, but they were out the next day with the right size.

Home depot is overpriced on countertops - we just remodeled our kitchen and got granite countertops through Moreno Marble and Granite (www.morenogranite.com ) They were a lot less expensive than Home Depot and did great work.
