Low Progesterone

I have been told as long as progesterone is 10 or above you should be fine. They put on on PG to ensure is stays high enough for your little one. I was put on PG for my daughter who was born in August 07. She is happy and healthy! We have been very blessed. I would say if the gestational sack is the size it should be you should be on the right track. That is great your doctor recognizes the need to be on PG.

Yes, this has happened to me too. My first pregnancy ended in my daughter being still born, although there were no complications along the way, and they found no reason for her death. My second pregnancy began just one month after my first one ended. At 6 weeks, I began bleeding and I was sure I was someone who couldn't carry a baby and must be losing this one too. I went into my doctor, saw the sac on ultrasound, and she checked my hormone levels. They were low, an 11. She had me come back two days later, only for them to have dropped again. This meant that my body was trying to miscarry the baby, because my hormone levels should have been doubling. She put me on progesterone pills (not suppositories) and I stayed on them until 11 weeks, when the placenta actually takes over from the ovaries. I now have a beautiful 18-month old son. My first pregnancy in 2000 was ectopic, and I was followed closely in the beginning of each of my 3 subsequent pregnancies--2 with low progesterone. I don't recall what my progesterone level was. I also was on the suppositories through 12 or 14 weeks. I had three healthy babies!

Had low progesterone with both of my pregnancies. I found this out after two miscarriages. On my 3rd pregnancy, I used the suppositories. Messy, but worth it. My boys are now 3 yrs and 10 months old. Very happy and healthy.

Has your thyroid been checked? My friends levels where low because of her thyroid unbeknowst to her when she got pregnant and trying to get pregnant (it took longer than usual)

I'm sorry, I know this is 1 week later but after having two miscarriages, my Ob told me to take 1 St. Joseph's (adult baby aspirin) a day. Our daughter is now five. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
