Bee Caves pediatrics by Barton Creek Mall. I like Dr. Ruiz and Dr. Norton. Both are female and laid back.

I love Dr Susan Woods & Dr Diane Garza - ADC right across from South Austin Hospital. My kids have been seeing them since my oldest daughter was born and she's 13 now. They are both great doctors and are great with same day call ins.

Hey! If you're willing to come a little further south, you should try Dr. Anna Lincoln at Pediatric Junction in Buda! She's amazing! We were originally seeing a doctor at Austin Diagnostic, but they just weren't giving us the time of day. I wanted a doctor who would get to know my little girl, who wouldn't see us for 5 minutes, then move on to the next patient, just to fill a daily quota. My daughter has already had RSV and a UTI, and she's only 4 months old! We just weren't getting the personal attention we needed from the clinic. They made me feel like I was wasting their time for asking questions... That's why I love Dr. Lincoln! Just from walking in the clinic you feel more comfortable. She'll spend as much time with you as you need. She's VERY informative, and you can tell she genuinely cares! I called her office with a question, and SHE actually called me back, not a nurse! Anyway, she's definitely worth the 10 minute drive to Buda!!!

our pediatrician is amy alcorn at austin regional clinic on brodie lane. she's not too quick to medicate, she doesn't make me feel stupid or like a bad mom for choosing an alternative vaccination schedule and she's just so sweet.
congratulations on your bundle. good luck!

We go to Diane Garza at Austin Diagnostic Clinic (South). They have a wonderful practice there. They have several doctors in the practice and we can always get in to see one of them (or the nurse practitioner - love her, too) if we really need to. I like that they are NOT quick to write a prescription for antibiotic, too. They have a weekend clinic, but it's way up north. We've used that clinic more than once! And it's not a bad drive on the weekend.

Here's the website to ADC South: http://www.adclinic.com/Doctors_Specialties_Maps/Location...

Hope this helped!

I really like Dr. Amy Alcorn at the ARC on Brodie between William Cannon & Slaughter. She works part time (she's a mom) so you need to schedule well checks WAY in advance to get in with her, & some sick visits are with the other docs, most of whom I like well enough. But I really love Alcorn. She's sweet, smart, pro-vaccine but relaxed about delaying, & pro-breastfeeding.

I love my pedi! Her name is Dr. Reidy and she is with schoolhouse pediatrics on Bee Caves. She is no nonesense, but still friendly. She'll tell you straight up what's going on, but she doesn't shove her advice down your throat. She very much believe in moms following their instincts! There are also 2 other doctors there who seem great. They are all moms themselves, and started their practice b/c they were tired of being told how many kids to see each hour/day. They don't over schedule, so they always have as much time as you need for your appointment. I've never had trouble getting in when I needed it and they are open on Saturdays! Also, when you call the after hours line - you always get one of the doctors! I highly, highly recommend Dr. Reidy!

Hi W.,

I take my daughter to Pediatric Junction in Buda. Not S. Austin, but not far from it either. I love them. Their place is really cute (it's an old house with a choo-choo train motif, they give you "tickets" as reminders for your next appointment and refer to the kids as "passengers") and the dr.s (Mine's Dr. Collins, the other dr. is Dr. Lincoln, who just as a side note has just come back from chemo for breast cancer(and is cancer free)) are pretty cool.

Good Luck!

Hey W.
We love our pediatrician, he's Dr. Michael Ward, at Austin Regional Clinic South, on S.First & Ben White.
The practice is not a pretty suburban office, it's no frills, & because of being so close to downtown he really sees it all, so he's always relaxed and reassuring about the stuff our little guys get. He's also got young twins of his own, and can relate to sleep issues etc, and give advice. It's busy, but he's never in a hurry, always very gentle, and always invites us to stay in the room as long as we need after appointments to nurse and reassure the baby.
The great thing about ARC is that they have after-hours care, established patients can see a doctor 24 hrs 7 days a week. And as you will see, kids only get really sick at 5pm on Friday! We've used the after-hours often.. what a great feature. Good luck!

Dr. Sara Woods with Austin Diagnostic Clinic. She is awesome! She doesn't prescribe meds at the drop of a hat, but always encourages you to bring in your little one if you are concerned at all. On nurse visits (no charge cuz you don't see the doc) she always comes in and consults if you have a question and still - no charge! great combination of natural interventions and clinical interventions. located on James Casey.

I love my pediatrician! Dr. Diane Garza at Austin Diagnostic Clinic on James Casey. She is wonderful and always takes her time with my girls. When she isn't available (rarely the case), we see Dr. Woods or Nurse Payne. When my first daughter was born we went to Dr. Llewellyn. I'm not sure if he still has his office on James Casey but I do know of people that drive from Round Rock to see him. He is also very good. The only reason I switched was because I thought my girls would be more comfortable with a woman as they got older.
