Looking for Summer Childcare

I know this topic is asked MILLIONS of times on Mamasource, but I have to ask again: Does anyone have any good recommendations on a good childcare situation for a 3 & 4-year-old during the summer? They are in a MDO right now, but I don't have anything planned for them in the summer, and I work from home. They will be very bored sitting at home with me all summer, and I don't want to break the momentum they have built up in their learning. I would only need part-time, about 9-3 each day. Any ideas? I am open to in-home childcare and /or Christian preschools.

Hi C.! You sound like me!! I have a 2-1/2 yo and a 4 yo and work from home PT from 11-3 M-F. I have been looking for some kind of resource for WAHMs, like a support group or something. Do you know of anything? Maybe there's something here on Mamsource, but I haven't gotten that far yet. Working from home seems like such a great idea a first, but it is actually easier to work away from home in my opinion. But, I do love working from home. I have several high school babysitters that we use, and they are looking for summertime babysitting jobs. We are in Plano though. Let know if you are in this area, and I can have them get in touch with you.

Check with high school students at your church! One of our regular babysitters will be taking care of kids this summer in a situation just like you have. Mom will still be home, but she'll be in her home office working for the few hours that the sitter is there.

Hello C.. My sister is actually having a summer camp at her house, but she lives in Keller. We have been talking about the idea of me starting up the same thing at my house, which is in Lewisville. Three and Four are such fun ages, and I am interested in talking with you more and seeing if I can be of any help to you. Thanks, K.

C.,

I currently have an In-home Preschool. We have been opened for 2 1/2 years. Our preschool hours are 9am-2:30pm, but we also offer extended hours(8am-5pm).

Our website has been down, but you can check it out when it's back up. The address is happydays.site.with.us You can also email me, and I can send you a link to our Koday account so you can take a tour.

I have two teachers: Mrs. Amy (18mos-3 year olds) and Mrs Yvonne (3-5 year olds). We have our own curriculum that is based on the children.

Over the summer we will have more group activities and field-trips.

A.
