Hi,
I am checking into all of my options regarding programs for my son! I am currently working nights and would like to find something for my son, either daycare or MDO. With MDO, I could at least rest while he is there....OR, I could go back to days and find a good daycare, problem is, I just need two days a week. Most facilities charge the same for part time as they do for full time! I have noticed most MDO only take 2 yrs or more! Any suggestions from you MOM's out there? I know I can't be the only one struggling with this. I have been working at night and sleeping when he naps the next day, but he is getting more active and needs me to be alert and awake!!! I think that if I could sleep during the day, the night shift thing would work out best, but I do miss sleeping with my husband and being home those nights! JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

What can I do next?

I know of a GREAT school that is perfect for kids and a great place to work. Why don't you work where your child attends school. That way you could be with your baby during the day (sorta) and at home with your hubby at night.

Primrose School of Forest Creek is currently hiring! ###-###-####

Hi K.,
I live in McKinney and could take care of your little boy.
I have a loving in-home day care. He would be able to play with other children and have some interaction with them. We love to read books, paint, act like animal and make their sounds. We sing songs, play simple games together and have lots of fun.
I would only charge you for the days you need him to come.
I am infant/adult CPR and first aid certified and am listed with the state to provide in-home care.
I've been working with children for many years. I am a mother to a very sweet 2 1/2 yr old little girl.
Let me know if you would like more information or referrals.

Hi K.!

I read your request this morning and just wanted to let you know that I do take part timers and would love to care for your little boy whenever you needed me. Right now I'm completely open beacuse the little girl I've been keeping all summer just moved up north. I do have one other mom that is coming over next week to meet with me but I would still have one more spot available. My rates are $140 a week for infants through 18 months. Part-time is $6.00 an hour or maximum $30.00 per day. So if you only need care for a couple of hours it would be cheaper to do it by the hour, or if you needed more than 5 hours the most I'd charge is $30.00. Here is a little bit about myself.

I am married to a wonderful man and we have four precious kiddos. My oldest is 9, then my second son is 7, then my daughter is 4 and I also have a 6 month old baby boy. We just recently bought a home in McKinney after living in Melissa for the past 10 years so we are all still trying to get used to the city life. After working 11 years at my children's daycare, I've decided to stay at home with my youngest one and would love to keep a couple more babies with him. We live off of 121 and Lake Forest in a peaceful neighborhood. I am CPR and first aid certified and could offer many referals upon request. I love working with kids and at my house he would get extra love and affection that is not offered at bigger facilities. I plan on only taking in a maximum of two children, so that I can give more individual care. Please call me if this sounds like something your interested in and we can talk about details more and maybe ya'll could come over and meet us! I also have a welcome packet I could email to you if you'd like just so you can have an idea about my program. Hope to talk to you soon!

Thanks,

In Plano on Hedgcoxe, Childtime will do part time for infants. They have a great infant room and have an older staff of women. They are borderline Plano and Frisco. Good luck!

Hi K.,
There is an in home care taker that is licensed with the state and has 2 or 3 other teachers there with her. Her name is Miss Mary and she is located in Frisco, but it is just down Virginia at Preston. I live in McKinney and she is only 15 minutes from me. You might want to call her. I think she takes part time kids. She has a great curriculum and like I said, there are other teachers there with her. Her number is ###-###-####.
Good luck!

My son goes to an MDO program that is M-THR from 9;00am to 4:00pm, I am not sure if they have room for 10 month olds. I know they take them, but they are in Plano. My son is 3 now and attends on T & R from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The place is Kids Kove off of Premiere in Plano. Email at ____@____.com for more info.

Good Luck!

Gladys
