Hello. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for gyn/ob's who have some experience with infertility problems and are aggressive. I have been trying for baby #2 for nearly a year now...my menstral cycle is really long (like 34-38) days and every now and then I just skip a whole month. My gyn is kind of passive and just said to give it a few more months to regulate. I am tired of waiting. She did do bloodwork and said everything was normal and I don't think I have any major fertility problems just not positive I am ovulating. After being on the pill for 7 years I was able to get pregnant the first time within 3 months. She is now almost 3 and I'd like #2 to be relatively close in age to her, but the months just keep going by with negative pregnancy tests! I live on the East side and of course doctor's close in proximity would be best. I have just received a new referral from my GP and am hoping to hear something great about a certain doctor before I make my next appt. PLEASE let me know if you have any recommendations! THANK YOU!

What can I do next?

S.,
I LOVE my OB/GYN and there are other doctors in the office that are amazing as well. I'm not sure if they are taking anymore patients but it doesn't hurt to call and ask. My Doctors name is Maryam Beheshti. She works at Ironwood OB/GYN. All the DR's in the office are female (not sure if that is important to you or not) and my DR. was able to care for me, I am a high risk patient because of a premature birth and miscarriages. I'm not sure where she is at on the fertility level, but that's another question you could ask. The DR's in the office that I recommend to you are Beheshti, Goldberg, and Schalk. I don't like Dr. Laird very much, she's been rude everytime I've had to talk to her, and the other Dr's only do gynocology. But again it's a great facility and on the website you can learn a little about each doctor and see what the look like and find out some info on the office.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

I also live on the East Side of town and this isn't a bad drive. The office is located on Rosemont between Grant and Pima (closer to Grant) right across from TMC. It's a nice office ant the staff is wonderful! if you would like to check out their website it is www.ironwoodobgyn.com

Tucson Birth Center, Next to TMC.

All the midwives are amazing! They helped me so much through what became a tough ending to hard pregnancy. They are intelligent and bring up alternate ideas of how to help in situations. My first visit with a midwife was almost 3 hours!

They are back by really good OBGYNs also, one of which did my c-section and was Amazingly good (I doubt people will believe me I had one if they look at the scar in another year!)

They took such good care of me, I'd recommend them for everyone! It helps that they take major insurances and have a great set up with TMC also.

I use Shayla Ighani. She is in Rita Ranch. I really like her. I was trying for over a year. My cycles are really out of wack also. I saw her in august and she said give it 6 months and just relax. I got pregnant in sept. :) you can also try the fertility monitors to see when you ovulate. I tried that also.

Well I feel ya on this one. I am in the same boat I unfortunately know my problem. I never lost the baby weight and even found some extra lying around my body like shuts off ovulation at a certain weight, my periods get longer etc... but as soon as I get under that weight boom im prego. So its time to get out the walking shoes. I feel for you though I never found any aggressive dr's in Tucson. I did find a wonderful clinic full of them in phx sorry not much help.
