I am looking for a good gynocologist in the Oklahoma City area. I haven't lived here very long, and my yearly exam is about a year overdue! I would love to find a gynocologist that could also be my obstetrition once I get pregnant.

What can I do next?

I use and LOVE Dr. Margaret Hall with Lakeside Womens. Lakeside is a privately owned womens hospital on Hefner and Hefner Parkway. Dr. Hall is a OBGYN. Her number is ###-###-####. Good Luck. I also went to Dr. Eli Reshef, referred by Dr. Hall, for fertility issue and I was pregnant within two months, so I agree that he is also awesome if you need help in that area!!

If you're east of OKC, check into Renaissance Medical Center (in Midwest City), which is a group of OB's. Mine is Dr. Buchinger, and he's fantastic!! He delivers at Women's Renaissance Center, which is a Birthing Center right next to Midwest Regional Hospital. I absolutely love Dr. Buchinger, and my experience with just regular gynecology and obstetrics with him have been great. Highly recommended!!

Before deciding, check into where you want to give birth. OBs often have priviledges at only one hospital. So look around a little. The Lakeside Women's Hospital (and i think there are a couple other offiliated with it in other parts of the city) only handle women's issues, preg, and delivery. I loved this. OBs could check on you during your labor without missing appointments. Your appointments rarily got bumped because your OB had to go to the hospital to deliver a baby. (If your OB delivers lots of babies and has to drive from his/her office to the hospital to do it - immagine how often this messes up his/her daily appts.) I loved the small personal hospital. However some people are more comfortable at a major hospital. Also check with your insurance and make sure that the dr/hospital that you want are covered.

In Moore, or South OKC, go to Andrea Miller! SHE IS AMAZING. I am currently pregnant and she is so down to earth and very open. If you have any questions she is more than happy to answer them.

Dr. Wayne Houk is AWESOME!! He is at the NW Medical Tower located just south of Integris Baptist Medical Center. His number is ###-###-####.
When my son was born, he had a congenital heart defect that we didn't know about until he was a couple of hours hold because my pregnancy was wonderful and his heart rate was always great. Well, my son had to be transported to OU Children's Hospital to have his ope heart surgery. Dr. Houk delivered him by C-section at 2:31 pm on a Sunday. Seth was transferred at about 6 hours old. When Dr. Houk came in the next morning, he just held me and let me cry on his shoulder for about 40 minutes. He then told the nurse if I could eat and keep it down, walk and pee, UNDER the circumstances he was going to release me, even though it had only been 18 hours since the c-section. I did all 3 and was out of the hospital at 10 am. He called and checked on Seth and me several times. When Seth was 8 days old, he had his open heart surgery. I waited until he went to the OR then I had to go to Dr. Houk to have stitches or staples or whatever he used (don't remember what he used because my mind was focused on saving my son's life) removed. He told me to call him when Seth was out of surgery. I said ok and did, thinking I would be talking to the nurse or leaving a message. HE came to the phone and talked about 15 minutes about my son's surgery. My son is now 6 years old. He is doing fantastic. Every check up I have, Dr. Houk always asks about him and how his heart is. He gets a picture of him every year. I tell you that story to show you that you are not just a number with him. He really cares about his patients and is absolutely wonderful. Good luck with yu search!!

J., I have a female who delivered my son. Kimberly Fletcher. Very good. and a male who was actually my OBGYN. Bryan Treacy which is in Moore but worth the drive. Both are very good and Treacy is actually a fertility dr. so he might help in that area (if needing it.) best of luck.

I am infertile (although it doesn't feel like it now that I am pregnant with my second). I use Dr. Eli Reshef at Baptist Integris. He is an excellent Gyn and Fertility specialist. Although he doesn't do obstetrics once you get pregnant. He is very understanding and helps you find the fertility treatment that works for you. I had to do in vitro, but it worked both times that I did it. I love him for that!!!

Hi! I use Dr. Gregory Cox at Mercy Hospital. He is an OBGYN. I think the world of him! He has delivered both of my children. (3 yr old and 1 month old by c-section)I have been with him for over 8 years now and am very happy. He has priveleges at both Mercy and Deaconess Hospitals, so you can choose where you want to deliver.

Hope this helps in your search!
