Hi I am looking for a half day few days a week preschool program in the Dardenne Prairie/ Ofallon Area. Right now my son goes to an in home Daycare and goes to all day daycare twice a week, but my mom might be watching my kids starting January, so looking for a program I could put him in starting January. Any help would be appreciated. Also if you have phone number or website that would be great! Thanks!

K.,
My 2 youngest daughters have gone to United Services. One is actually still at US for preschool. So I highly recommend them. Talk to Cindy Christ at the Dardenne Prairie location.

Also, I highly recommend Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. They have a preschool and wonderful teachers. They also have their classrooms setup as United Services because of Cindy Christ. The church is located on Mexico just East of Lowe's.

I would look into United Services. I have visited the location in St. Charles/St. Peters and it is a wonderful place...lots of appropriate instrution and important play opportunities. Good Luck!

I recommend United Services West (dardenne prairie) or United Services East (Cave Springs). I have now sent two children there. I started at 2 and 3 in the half day 2 days a week program. We pay per month. I know it is very affordable for the type of care you get. All the teachers are teachers! They have degrees. 3 teachers/classroom individual rooms with no more than 15 kids/room (I think) and private bathrooms between every two classrooms - they will help with potty training. Intigrated classrooms- special needs with regular. My kids learned sign language and wheelchair tolerance because of kids in their class'. We no longer stare at stores or playgrounds. They also have very affordable parenting class' and parent groups. They also have been trained to look for learning disorders. All children are educated in so many area's including a full motor room. There is a calm routine and the children are encouraged to make "choices" so they are learning independence and self reliance and they don't even know it. There are two parent meetings a year with your childs teacher. Plus you get their email and phone. They do 1- 2 fieldtrips you are encouraged to go on. They have class parties. You are also envited to go to class anytime. I go frequently for the last 1/2 hour. Grandma goes all the time. East has 4 different playgrounds outside, a motor room, a romper room (for indoor play) and play areas between the pods for pre-play and indoor motor developement. We have never had a teacher we didn't love! They also have hourly day care. My son goes two days a week to daycare for one hour each and it costs me $7.70/week. They come and get him and walk him to pre-school. My oldest is 7 and my youngest is going to be 4. Good Luck.

My girls have all gone to the Francis Howell School preschool program and I recomend it. They have Three 1/2 days or two 1/2 day programs. I know there are several one is on Central School road right behind the grade school but I know there are others. You might check with the schools in yoru area it's also nice if you have other children since they go on the same school schedule.

Hi K. - My son is now in kindergarten but he went to United Services in Dardenne Prarie at the age of three. We toured US based on hearing such good things about it from others. I cannot tell you how happy we were with the facility & the staff. Here is the website address http://www.unitedsrvcs.org/index.html Best of luck with your search. You will know when you find the right place for you AND your son. CJ
