Ever considered joining a MOMS Club? The MOMS Club is an international nonprofit organization with local chapters throughout the US and abroad designed to provide support and socialization for moms. Chapters organize playdates, local activities for moms and kids, moms nights out, community outings, and more. I've belonged to one ever since my first son was born, and it has been a fantastic way for me to meet other moms right in my area, and also a great way to socialize my son with other kids his age. Google international moms club and you'll find the one that's based specifically in your area!

I belong to the one in South Rockville. I make approximately 2-3 events per month and there's usually something going on every day of the week! Membership is cheap, no major commitments required and there's often playgroups set up every week by/with other moms who have infants in the same age range as yours.

Check out yahoo groups, Maryland moms. They have groups for weekends, weekdays and different ages. Also different ones for stay at home, part time and full time working moms.
