Looking for New Pediatrician - Antioch,TN

My pediatrician just dropped out insurance. She was the one and only ped we talked to before we had our son and we just LOVE her. I'm so upset that they no longer carry our insurance, but we need to go somewhere where we are covered. Does anyone have any suggestions for the Smyrna/Lavergne area? We loved that she was young, but wasn't so stuck in the "by the book" mode that she didn't listen to our concerns and suggestions, too. I would love to find someone else like this. Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Corbi Milligan isn't perfect, but she is a pretty good doctor. I didn't like Centennial Ped's. My child always got sick with something else when we would go for a checkup. They also didn't listen to me about my son having allergies not a repeated colds. I got sick of them and switched to Corbi. She listened and switched his allergy medicine. Since then he's been fine and she's always listened.

Good luck!

Dr Corbi Milligan at the Stonecrest Hospital, 2nd floor does pretty well with my 3 1/2 year old and 14 month son. She seems rushed but she does take time to play and talk with the kids and is not big on prescribing harmful antibiotics unless it is extremely necessary.

I LOVE Tennessee Pediatrics in Murfreesboro TN. All the doctors are wonderful and great with the kids and they carry a lot of the insurances ###-###-#### My kids see Dr Eastham. I never have any trouble getting them in if someone gets sick all of a sudden! Well worth the 20 min drive from Antioch!

Dr. James C. Godfrey
Green Hills Pediatric Associates
###-###-####

We really like Green Hills Pediatric Associates. They have regular hours Monday through Friday and emergency hours on Saturday and Sunday. They have a great group of pediatricians. So, if your pediatrician is not avaiable anyone you get is great. Their appointments run on time. They have an on-call telephone nurse available during office hours to answer questions over the phone. That way you don't have to schedule an office visit to find out how much tylenol to give your child or what cold medicine they suggest or other minor issues like that. We had the same peditrician for 16 years, Dr. Joseph Lentz. It was tough for us when he retired. We tried a couple of other pediatricians and felt like Dr. Godfrey was a good fit for our family. My kids feel comfortable with him. He never seems rushed and he always takes the time to listen. I also really appreciate that he values the information that I give him about my children's medical conditions. My kids are ages 3, 11, 16, and 18 and they all like him. So he does well with kids of all ages--which is nice because your little ones are going to grow up. I recommend Green Hills Pediatric Associates and I highly recommend Dr. James Godfrey.
