Looking for Moderately-priced Decent Photographer! (Southwest Metro)

Hi! I'm wondering if anybody has had any good experiences with moderate- or lower-priced studios, like a Sears, Target, or J.C. Penney studio--something along those lines. I'd like to get some pictures taken of my kids for the holidays, but we can't afford the more expensive private studios. (Unless there's one that's having a good promotion going on!)

What can I do next?

J.,

I used to go to Sears from the time my daughter was 6 weeks old until she was 5 years old. The last batch of pictures I was not happy with. I have been going to Wal-Mart, which is ok I guess I just figure for the pictures that are going to family you can get a somewhat decent package for $2.99 to $6.99 depending on the special. I have been considering Proex quite a bit lately. To me, shop around and find what you like.

i have had bad experiences at both sears and pennys but i did like proex they did a good job. i do freelance photagraphy so i know how cheap it is compared to any of these places so if you can do them yourself your gonna save a lot and the kids know you better. you could look on the internet for child photagrapers that come right to your house i used to help nanny triplets and i know they had one and she was the best very reasonable too but she moved outta state.

Go to Proex and request the photographer named ANN she's worked there over 11 yrs. and just did our family portrait and I loved it! She was working at the Burnsville location and I believe she is now at the Eagan location. I use to work for proex myself and love them. They are always on time and never get behind like jcpenny's and sears do. They have many great options and you get your finished prints in 3 days and they donot cost anymore than sears or penny's and actually might be cheaper. I have worked as a photographer for Proex, Sears, and Penny's and the traiing and dedication at PROEX kicks butt!

I have worked for Proex in the Burnsville center for 11 years. We do lots of shots and you can order whatever you want! We are moderatlty priced and you get things back in 3 days. If you are looking for someone good and are going to the Burnsville Center ask for me, A.. I only work Tuesday nights and Saturdays. Otherwise Ann is really good too and she is there full time. Look at proex.com for coupons! I hope I helped!!!

We go to the studio's at Target. They do a really good job and I think are reasonably priced. If you go to targetportraits.com and it will give you all of the locations.

Ironically, I JUST got done doing pics of my son for Christmas! I did them myself and I am happy with them. Now, to get all FIVE kids together this evening to get all at once is another thing!

I really liked Sears. They had cute backgrounds and excellent prices and the photographers I have worked with were good at relaxing the kids.

Best of luck! Merry Christmas!

Hi,

I have a friend who does this on the side. His name is Brian and I just asked him if he was moderately priced and he says he is. Here is his website: edgelineimages.com
He also said his package prices are adjustable if there are things you don't want or need in a particular package, you can mix and match.

Good luck!
