Looking for Legitament Home Employment...
I am an at home mom with a 5 yo, and a 6mo. I love being at home with my kids and I take pride in being a housewife. I do however want to bring in some sort of income. I have been researching work at home jobs for 2 weeks and only came up with 4 options, everything else were scams. I probably shouldn't be so picky but there are a few things that I don't want to do. I don't want to hold parties or have parties at my home. I also don't want to have to call anyone or go door to door. If anyone has any ideas or information on this subject I would be oh so grateful. I just might try anything right about now. Thanks
So What Happened?™
I have finally found an at home business that I really love. Oddly enough, I got introduced to it from an at home dad that is at my daughter's bus stop everyday. Thanks to all of you who have given me advice, free info, and simply just support. Thank You!!!

Ah mama, you are in luck. I want you to try it out as a customer first to see how you like it. It's free. you don't have to pay nothing, you don't need to sell anything. ChaCha.com. Positions just opened up. You can work whenever you want. go ahead and contact me, and we can talk over the phone about it if you want. it's not a scam or anything. you work through the computer. it's great. the pay isn't that great though. so if you're looking for something like a regular job, it's not for you. but looking for some extra cash, it's great! I LOVE IT! I'll send you a flyer through email so you can read it.

I work for Continental Airlines and have for 10years. We recently have upgraded our phone system to allow reservations agents to work from home. At this time, you must live in Houston, Salt Lake City or Tampa. However, within the next 6-8months you will be able to work anywhere!!! I am excited because I live an hour from Houston and drive in to work! You may email me at ____@____.com if you would like.

If you have quiet times in your home or an office to seperate you, you can work for LiveOps, Alpine Access, West at HOme.
Alpine Access will be hiring for 1800flowers soon (or did last year)for Mother's Day. I worked for them during that time and they pay a good ($10 or more an hr) hourly pay rate but you have a set schedule. LiveOps and West you can pick your schedule- you will answer phones for pizza delivery to the infomercials you see on tv-they pay per minute but you can work an hour here or there-say 2 hrs before the kids get up, an hour at nap time and then at bedtime...whatever works for your life.
I just had too hard of a time having quiet time with 2 toddlers or I would have kept doing it!
Good luck!

Hey T.,
I am a 27 year old stay at home mom to a 1 year old son. I love being home with him. I work with this awesome team of moms and would love for you to join us. Visit my web site: www.MoreForMyBaby.com. We do not sell products, throw parties, or collect money. Everything we do is on the phone and computer on our own time. I love it and am doing very well at it.

After being in businesses where I had to throw parties and stock products and all that, I can tell you... I'M DONE!
I've found my happiness in two things: I teach music lessons from home and I work with Ignite.
Music Lessons: I set my own schedule and make $30/hour. The students come from schools all around the area to my home for 1/2 hour sessions once a week. It's been a huge blessing. You can take this idea and use it for anything you're good at: math, science, English (maybe teach ESL to foreign students or immigrants?), etc.
Ignite: Finally, no parties!!! *Sigh of relief* Ignite is a network marketing business for energy. Since TX is deregulated, all they ask is that you sign up a few customers for their energy plan from people you already know (can you say easy?) and teach others to do the same. I've been doing this for about 2 weeks and have already received my first check (this past Monday - **happy dance!**). I've been a very satisfied customer for about 2 1/2 years. No product to stock, no quotas, and my sponsor (who has been in the business for 3 years) has never had to do paperwork (and neither have I). If you're interested, message me and I'll get you some more information. The thing I love about this is I have always been a bargain shopper for EVERYTHING, and finally it's a job where I'm saving people money instead of convincing them to spend it. *another sigh of relief*
I hope you find your heart's calling!

You are starting at the right place by getting the word out you are looking for work. Network and use your resources. Someone you know knows someone who knows, etc. Take an assessment of your talents and interests and then think of things you can do in the areas you enjoy or have strengths. Depending on your experience and interests here are some ideas:
teach piano or music
do research for professional writers
after school care
host kids summer camps*
accounting
coaching one-on-one
organizational coach
make appointment reminder calls for a doctor's office
computer skills type office work for a real estate agent
If you need me to help you brainstorm some more, email me!
*I know someone who hosts week long camps for kids at her house. She loves to sew and do crafts so she'll offer a few sewing camps where kids learn to sew, another week it will be crafts. I enjoy scrapbooking and I've done scrapbooking camps for kids. I usually do a morning (9-noon) camp and limit it to 8 children. Parents scramble to find things to keep their kids busy in the summer. You can easily get the word out through coops, especially homeschool groups.

Hey T.,
Have you ever thought about being a secret shopper? Anyway, you basically get to secretly evaluate different places and their customer service. These places range from department stores, fast food places, restaurants, pet stores, banks...you name it, they've got it. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I have been doing this on and off for a few years to make a little extra money. You can have e-mails sent to you notifying you of shops in your area or you can check their websites from time to time. You are able to look at the shops, what all is required, and decide whether or not you want to do them. No pressure...you work when you want and where you want. For example: I did a few pet shops the other day. I had to swing by and pick up some dog food anyway, so I got paid to do something I had to do anyway. These shops usually have you follow some little scenario while you are in the store, like asking which natural brand of dog food they reccommend. Then you just go home and fill out a survey on-line telling them about your experience, the customer servive, etc... The different shops range in pay. Some are lower paying and some are higher paying. Anyway, if you are interested, I can send you tons of legitimate secret shopping sites. Just let me know :)
