Hey P.. Have you thought about medical transcribing? You work from home and can create your own hours. The average hourly wage equates to $25/hour. I know a school that offers an awesome online course for $500, (books,dictation foot pedal, and they will also help you find a job). It is a course that you do on your own time and you can take up to a year to finish if you choose. You are also certified when you complete it. If you want the info, let me know.

There are some work at home agent jobs (I think one company is called WEST) that you could do after your husband is home (you have to be on the phone).
If you're a member of a gym, you might be able to work in the childcare area.

I, too, have a home based business. I make about $100 per night, keep no inventory, and it cost me absolutely nothing to start. I am a Unit Leader with Partylite. I have worked for 5 years scoring the essay portions of standardized tests. You need a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and will make $10/hr or more. Numerous opportunities at ETS: www.ets.org - click on scoring opportunities. I am a scoring leader and make $15/hr. You make your own schedule. I've found a survey company that pays for you to rate different websites. I wanted to wait and make sure it's legit, but I just got paid $50 into my paypal account, so I feel good about it. It's a survey place--you get paid according to the survey you take. If you're interested in reading about this, follow this link:

They pay you once your account reaches $50. They pay out twice a month. You're rating online sites (I've done Blockbuster, Stamps.com and others). The only thing is you need a credit card AND you have to cancel memberships once you've signed up on the sites. I have an organized way to do this--it's easy really. I just list the company I signed up with, the date I signed up, when the trial period is over, when I've received the money in my survey account and when I've cancelled. If you don't cancel, you won't make money b/c you'll pay the fees of the companies you signed up for. Also, I don't take every survey--just the ones I'm comfortable with. I've even called the companies numbers before I put in my credit card info to make sure I could reach someone to cancel. So far, it's been pretty easy to do. Good luck!
