Legitimate Home Businesses
Just wondering if anyone has come across any legitimate home businesses for extra $$$$? I am pretty skeptical about all I come across, so many seem like such a scam - please help!

Hi M., I was very skeptical as well when I first started researching work at home businesses - I tried mystery shopping but did not make very much money for the amount of time and effort I put into it. I also have tried surveys (get paid verrrry little). I looked into a few other legit. companies but they required selling a product, which I didn't want to do (I had sold tupperware in college - great company and product but...). I finally found the Freedom at Home team with Ameriplan - I am very passionate about the service we provide: Consumer Driven Healthcare. I help people everyday save money on their healthcare costs! (Healthcare is a huge problem in US right now) I also get to help people just like you work from home - and alot of them are firing their bosses! Have a look at my website: www.CareerForMomsAtHome.com and if you are interested in more information, just submit "Request an Interview" and I will send you a few informational emails and will be in contact with you to discuss the business further.
To your success - J.

Hey M.,
my suggestion is... think of something you enjoy and see what businesses there are that you can affiliate yourself with.
Example, I was doing and enjoying baby sign language with my son.... now I am a Baby Signs certified instructor... and loving it!
Take care, I am sure you will find what fits for you!
Ciao,

Hi M.,
I understand your concern about finding a legitimate home business. I was skeptical, too. So, when I was offered the opportunity to be a Shaklee distributor, I researched the company. It's more than 50 years old and highly recommended by distributors and customers. Shaklee products are used by sports enthusiasts and Olympic athletes. More info at: www.shaklee.net/star/aboutMain
Oprah recommends - and uses - our non-toxic cleaners.

Good Morning America reports we're one of the best home businesses for women. http://healthshak.blogspot.com/2007/07/as-seen-on-good-mo...
And Rachel Ray recently featured Shaklee products on her show. www.trainingstartshere.com/Rachael%20Ray.wmv
I've been with Shaklee for over 3 years now. I'm a Shaklee customer and distributor. Not only is it a good business, but I've gotten a real education in health and wellness that's improved my life and the lives of my family and friends.
I invite you to join me. We're the fastest growing group in Shaklee. Our team is well organized and Internet friendly. We truly help each other to be successful.
We work in person, on the phone and the Internet. Our team is about to launch an Internet marketing campaign. We're learning the system now and should go live in about 2 weeks.
Good luck in your decision. There are a lot of companies out there. I know I made the right decision for me. I hope you find a home business that suits you. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Hi M.
Yes there are alot of home-based businesses that you can take advantage of. I myself work from home and my other girlfriends also do after I referred them. It is all customer service related, so you will have to be on the phone most of the time for this job, it is like a call center job but from the comfort of your home(don't know if you have experience with that kind of employment or willing to try it). Here are 2 companies you can take a look at and apply to if you think you will like to do that; LiveOps,Inc. the website is www.liveops.com and Arise, www.arise.com. I know some women that pay their mortages with the money from this job. I have been with Liveops for about a year now. I have tried other jobs like surverys, its a waste of time, you barely make any money, same for mystery shopping. And the company I sub contract for I choose my schedule can work as little or as much as i want.you don't have to put any money into it except for the background check about $50 and get phone and internet service that's it.Since I've had my daughter who is 2 I have never worked outside the home. You're welcome to email me if you have any questions or inquiries.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck.

I have a blog which lists some work at home opps. "I work at home you can too"
Some of which were mentioned by the other responses. Liveops, West at Home, Arise, 1800 flowers etc. In my blog are transcription, call center and texting jobs.
There are many to choose from and many smaller jobs which can help with the purse strings.
Yuwie is a website similar to facebook and myspace but in this instance when people look at your profile you get paid. It's small but helps when you really dont have to do anything.
