I am in the same situation. My husband is unable to work, which leaves me to work. We have 4 kids and one on the way. I would call the TDHHS, call 2-1-1 and just keep calling. Try talking to your church and call CCA. Good luck and we will be praying for you. M.

I know the feeling. I am a single mom with 2 small kids. I left an abusive husband a little over a year ago. I found help through my church. If you belong to a church, you may check there. Also try United Way. They can give you phone numbers of different non-profit organizations that help with rent, bills, etc. Just call the United way in your area. Good luck and God bless!

We're in a difficult situation right now too and will have to move out of our home. We've been without income for 18 months. Thankfully, we do have family local that we can move in with and have help us for a while. However, I have a few suggestions that you might explore. Most all of the larger and even smaller area churches have programs to help families in need. For example, I know that Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano and The North Church in Carrollton, both have in-house food pantries and will donate food to needy families. They may also have other programs to help with bills. Additionally, the Christian radio stations, especially this time of year, have boards online where you can write them with special needs, prayers or wishes that other listeners/viewers may see and individuals can then help out when they know there is a need. Another large church that may have some special programs is Fellowship Church. It's main church location is in Grapevine, but they also have a branch in downtown Dallas and Plano. I hope some of these suggestions will help you. You'll be in my prayers as we all trust God to provide for all our needs as we step out and do all that we can with what God has given us. Take care. Many Blessings - L.

Is your husband still ill? My husband has been in and out of the hospital and 10 surgeries later the last 2 years. It has hit our pocket book HUGE!!! I empathize with you. My husband has stayed out of the hospital the last 9 months, we believe due to LOTS of prayers and also glyconutrients, which help boost the immune system. Financially, we got help from our church. Do you have a supportive church that can give you money? Also, the radio station, KLTY 94.9, is giving needy people in the DFW area the things that they need. Maybe, you can call or email the radio station.
Hope this helps, and call or email me if you need any further help.
God Bless,
A.

Hi P.,

I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles--you and your family are in our prayers. I suggest calling my priest, Father Loyd Morris, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wylie. The number is ###-###-####, ext. 225. He is a wonderful person who will most likely know how to help you and your family.

My family and I recently have been going through some money problems, too. I prayed to God to show us how to find a way to get out of debt. Our prayers were answered in May when my neighbor introduced me to Arbonne. This company has changed thousands of lives--lives like yours and mine. Here is an example: http://www.arbonne.com/company/opportunity/people/eoa.asp...

I urge you to strongly consider Arbonne--God sure has answered our prayers.

With thoughts and prayers,
Jacqueline

I know exactly what you are going through. I was 4 months preg and on bedrest when my husband left me w/no money and bills that kept on stacking up. You might want to try Local Catholic churches or even Metrocrest services.

Good Luck.

The St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in East Dallas may be able to help. St. Thomas has a website - www.stthomasaquinas.org. I think there is a link to SVDP.
