Looking for Back-up/Emergency Child Care

I currently have a live in nanny but am looking to find reliable back-up or emergency care. Most daycares do not do dropins. I am a single mom with no family in the area. I do have a service lined up but I would rather pay the sitter than the agency. An in home or occasional babysitter in the Flower Mound or Irving area would be ideal.

J. -

I know your preference is in-home, but my daycare does offer drop-in. It's Children's Choice Learning Center of Lewisville - it's right next to Medical Center of Lewisville.

I think all you have to do is pay the annual registration fee, and submit all the paperwork, then it's there if you ever need to use it. Just a little more peace of mind. You can call Kim Blair or Brenna Devoe - ###-###-#### to talk about needs, rates, etc.

Good luck - S.

I'll put my thinking cap on for you too! ;o) Also, Saturday the 8th of April at 12 noon there is a great concert wtih Sara Hickman for kiddo's! I'm going with my friend Lisa, the one I mentioned that had a down syndrome boy that died. YOu'd really like her and I KNOW she'd love to meet you and Olivia. This is the message she sent out:

Hello Fellow Mommies (and Daddies)!

I thought I would pass this info on. My sweet friend Sara Hickman will be doing a kiddie show at the event listed below. She has so much fun with the little ones at her shows, usually putting them on stage and letting them sing, dance, and play instruments. I admire Sara so much for her passion for special needs and medically fragile children, where she often donates a portion of her proceeds to these children. Try to come to her show, I promise you and your kids will love her.

The event is listed in the email below. You can also visit Saras site for details at:

Hope to see you there!
