I'm looking for a good OB GYN near the Alta Bates hospital in Berkeley that LOVES and is EXCITED about a NEW life coming into the world and is GENTLE. Someone confident but not pushy or arrogant and is willing to work with you and answer questions and will not leave you in the dark about any information (willing to give freely of their knowledge without you having to ask). Also, they must be up-to-date on equipment and technologies (It concerns me that if an OB GYN and staff still completes all paper work by hand then are they competent in their work? Are they continuing their education and knowledge?)
Does anyone know of a good pediatrician also? They don't have to be near the hospital (I live in Emeryville) but need to have the same qualities and also considers, directs, and prescribes holistic medicine but as well as conventional medicine.

I also recommend Dr. Wolffe Nadoolman. His Number is 888-254-3950. I am actually interning for him and get to see how great of a person he is with all of his patients. He is absolutely wonderful with kids and he is always available for his patients, whenever it maybe, he will meet you at your place or at his office, whichever is more convenient for you to make sure that you and your child receive the best care.
Dr. Goldee Gross is a great OBGYN. She can be reached at:###-###-#### but the Oakland office is pretty packed at all times. I would recommend calling their Lafayette office. It really doesn't take that long to get there ... ###-###-####
A great pediatrician is Dr. Tracy Evans Ramsey. She is in Berkeley- ###-###-#### (they have an office in Orinda too and that is where they do their scheduling). The group at both Dr. Gross & Dr. Ramsey are great, bright, up-to-date doctors, so if you cannot get these two anybody else would be an excellent choice.
That being said I am not sure about the holistic prescriptions but it would not hurt to ask.

I wish i could recommend my obgyn but she is a total B****H to be honest.
However, i know a great ped near alta bates. HIs name is wolffe nadoolman and his practice is called private pediatrics. he's at telegraph and webster (i think??) almost across the st from whole foods. he is a real eccentric, and his personality is not necessarily one that every adult will understand (i love him but he is a bit of an odd duck). however, he is amazing with kids, very smart, very intreresting, and a very out of the box thinker. i recommend him completely.
