Looking for a Potty Training Toilet Seat for Our Elongated Toilet

Hi - Has anyone found a good toddler toilet seat to place on top of a toilet with an elongated seat? We bought a regular Dora seat at Toys R Us but it slips and slides around on our seat. I searched around online and did find a "BabyBjorn Toilet Trainer", which seems to be adjustable but I couldn't tell if it would work okay on the elongated seat. Also some that claim to fit an elongated seat but when I read reviews people said that they still had problems with the seat not staying in place on the bigger toilet. Just wondering if anyone has had luck with this? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks ladies so much - this is excellent. I will definitely check out the seat at Home Depot and if that doesn't work out, the BabyBjorn. To answer the question from Busymommy B, yes I was trying the Dora seat on the toilet with the seat down. It fits in a way, it just doesn't stay in place when my daughter sits down. thanks again everyone!!

Question - are you putting the potty seat ON the toilet seat? We have an elongated toilet too, and I was putting the toilet lid and seat up and the potty seat was sliding all over the place. Then I put the toilet seat down and the potty seat on top of it, and didn't have any problems at all. The seat I bought was just a regular old Walmart one with Sesame Street characters on it, so it wasn't a specialized one at all.

if you go to home depot, they have a seat built into a regular toilet seat. We have one for our regular toilet and love it, and I'm sure they had an elongated one when we were there last. The potty seat is built into the lid and is totally the best thing we did while potty training.

Check at home depot. I have friends that have a toilet seat that has an insert included. It is great! It looks like a regular seat, but hidden in the lid (by a magnet I think) is a smaller seat that you can just pull down on top of the big seat. It is SO much easier to keep clean, less clutter in the bathroom and it doesn't wiggle around. If my daughter hadn't already mastered the big seat I would absolutely get one.

We have a Toto toilet with elongated seat and the Baby Bjorn was the only one that fit without any slipping.

Baby Bjorn works great on an elongated toilet seat. My daughter loves it. She can move it to whatever bathroom she wants to use. She can even work the adjustment dial to fit it to the seat. I did the same thing and bought a Dora seat only to find out they don't fit. Baby Bjorn seats are more expensive but if you can get a Babies R Us coupon they are worth it.

Just wanted to add that if you have your child sit backwards, a lot of the need for a potty ring disappears....just a thought...for in a pinch!

Sara B is right. Home Depot sells the little seat built into a regular toilet seat, and they have one for the elongated toilets as well. I think it's $35 for the elongated one. Love it.

They sell one at Home Depot (u can also find it @ Wal-Mart for $10 less) that is a toilet seat with the toddler seat built into it and it's more elongated than the insert ones and WAY more sanitary too (major bonus).
