Hi! We're going to Disneyland on Monday and while I obviously don't plan to have my little guy out of my sight, I want to be prepared for anything! I just found these safetytats online where you can write your number on them in case your child is lost (and they are waterproof). Unfortunately, I don't have time to get them from an online store and can't seem to find a local retailer - none in California? Seems odd. Anyone know of one? Just for an extra piece of mind for me, plus my friend, whose daughter is older and may be more of a challenge :)

Thanks for all the great advice. Since he's little, we used a label because we knew he wasn't going on any water rides. But I'll remember everyone's advice for the next theme park when he's older! (And boy was it hot out there!)
I wouldn't use Sharpie or ballpoint pen. If you go to a make-up supply store like Naimes, Frends or Cinema Secrets (in North Hollywood/Burbank) you can get temporary tattoo ink that is safe for skin and will come off with rubbing alcohol when you are ready. Just get a little bottle of ink and a fine brush and paint safely away any info you want him tattooed with :)
My kids went to an amusement park today with a grown-up friend and I wrote her cell number using a dark ballpoint pen on areas that don't get washed in a sink -- his forearm and upside down so she could read it on her thigh, (her choice). You can also get a sticker from Town Hall on Main Street that says "I'm here with..." and put all the grown-ups cell phone numbers. I usually put a sticker on their backs, so they don't notice it and play with it making it easy for it to fall off, plus on the back it is obvious to a staff member at the lost parents center. I also put a sticker on a shirt under a jacket or sweatshirt so if they get warm or cold the sticker is obvious.

I put my business card in my son's pocket. YOu can laminate one so it can't get wet and put it in his pocket or shoe or pin it to his pants. Just let him know that he has to show it to someone if he gets lost.

I used a sharpie. Write it on his inside forearm - it's less likely to get wet. It stays on for a few days but washes off eventually. Don't put his name, just your contact info. My sis prints labels and puts them on the back of her kid's shirts as well.
i bet Whacko on Sunset in Silverlake has them..i can't remember where i bought the ones for my son and i can't remember where i put them! he really didn't like having them on he wanted them off ASAP..but we just had a tattoo artist friend draw one on him ..it was really cool and his teachers at school washed it off :( it was an elaborate dragon..try whacko or maybe look on YELP? or Ebay??
