Looking for a Good Nursing Bra

Kathy, I don't know where you live but i got a bra I really liked at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. They have the "Maternity Store" there (can't remember the name right off hand, but it's there at the hospital and you can make an appointment or even drop in and they have a private room where you can have someone do a bra fitting with you. The one I ended up getting two of and wearing most of the time was the brand ANITA (www.Anita.com). It's a regular bra with no underwire but gave me good support and looked good under all my clothes. If you go to the website I think it's style 5049. Looks like they have other styles too that they may not have carried at the hospital. I tried on other brands and styles but this one was the best fit and look for me. It wasn't cheap ($50) but it was worth having a bra I liked and felt good in while nursing. The other bra I liked but was on the sportier/casual side was the Bravado bra. Good Luck! K.

I loved all the bras and tops I ordered from Mother Wear: http://www.motherwear.com/ They are comfortable, have good support and don't look like nursing bras. I realized that it was worth the money to have actual bras that I like wearing, you don't know how long you will be in them. I am at 18 months with my second and wish I had gotten a lot of good bras right at the beginning. I would have gotten a good return on my investment. They even have some where you can take the wire out and then use them later.

I know you mentioned that you have already looked at Motherhood Maternity, but that's where I found the best one. It's the softcup lightly padded nursing bra for about $20. It fits great and gives me shape under real clothes.

My favorite nursing bra is actually a cheap one from Target. It is soft, stretchy cotton with easy to open and close cups and no underwire. I'm on the smaller side, so I don't know if it would be supportive enough for a large chest though.

I love my BRAVADO bras. Very supportive, I can even walk around pushing the stroller for miles, and easy to unhook with one hand for nursing. Really. I wore out my first set of bras nursing my son and now I am nursing my daughter and had to buy new ones, I love them so much.

Le leche League makes good bras and I buy them at Day One in Palo Alto.
