Looking for a Dermatologist in Orange County

Hello Moms
Well I have been batteling a skin thing for about (3) months. I have been to my regular dr. twice and it is still here. It is bumps with itchiness that turns into a rash too. I have Hydrocortisone cream, lamisil for the bottom of my feet, apple cider vinegar, a cleanser from the health food store etc. etc. Recently I think it flares up when I go into the garden and work. I made an appointment with a dermatologist but they cant get me in till end of October!! I would like to go to a skin dr. that can diagnose me correctly!! I am in the city of orange. thank, laurie

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Okay heres what happened. I decided to go to the allergist. He was very nice but after spending $300 I know no more than I did. We did an allergy test where they poked me 41 times and I learned that I am not allergic to any of the common allergies!! One good think I have ruled out allergic reaction. I have to wait to go to a dermatologist till next month but I may still do that. In the mean time I think I will try the lady who sells the cream for skin conditions that a mom reccommended!! Thank you for all the feedback and I will keep you posted!!

I really like Elizabeth Steinberg in Irvine (off Barranca near Jamboree.) Her phone number is: ###-###-####.

I like her because she is serious about skin issues without trying to upsell you the botox/restylane/etc. She is very thorough, kind and a great listener.

Hi Laurie,

I know of one doctor in your area. Dr Michael Radonich. He's pretty good and very personable.

Looks like you've already received several recommendations. Mine is Dr Hodge in Fullerton 714-526-skin.

If Fullerton's not too far for you, Dr. William Baugh is an excellent dermatologist. He came highly referred from another friend of mine. You can check out the office web site at http://www.fullspectrumdermatology.com.

(Funny, I just read the rest of your responses and another poster highly recommended Dr. Baugh as well.)

Good luck! =)

Hi Laurie,

My husband and I go to Dr. Dimino in Newport Beach. We absolutely love her! She's thorough and has been in dermatology for quite some time.

Her website is below:

My husband and mutiple of his friends go to Dr. Elizabeth Lener. She is in Ladera Ranch. Her number is ###-###-####. They all praise her for saving their lives from skin cancer.
Good luck

Dr. Melissa Watcher in Orange is awesome. She is busy but she is worth it.

Also-- both my son & I have extremely sensitive skin & he gets severe eczema. My mom had bought me some homemade lotion at a dayspa in Idaho a few years ago & I found another jar when she was moving. I used it on my son beginning last week & I'm not kidding the eczema dissappeared. I just called the lady yesterday, who made it, to order more. It is $15 per jar & I ordered 8 jars. Nothing has worked on him so far, but this stuff worked like a miracle.

It is called Grandma M's Homemade Lotion. The owner (Christina) was thinking of not staying in business so she shut down her website, but she has been getting calls from people who have used her stuff begging her not to quit. She is in Idaho. Her number is ###-###-####.

Good luck!!
