Yes! Although my husband works for Libery Mutual, most of our Life Insurance is through Northwestern Mutual. I highly recommend them...they can help you with financial planning as well. My grandfather, father, & uncles all work(ed) for this company. Following their advice has treated our family very well, and I know my kids won't have to worry about anything if something were to happen to my husband & I.

We get additional life insurance through the Knights of Columbus, a catholic men's association. We pay 66.00 a month for myself and my husband.

We have insurance through his job, but it is minimal. Outside of that, we each have $100K and $10K on our two boys. We also have mortgage protection insurance in the amount of our mortgage so that if one of us dies, the mortgage is paid off.

If you would like information about getting additional coverage, I am an independent agent and would be happy to get you protected. Thanks!

American National Life Insurance has been around over 60 years. They are based in Galveston; but have offices here in the DFW area. They are helpful and extremely quick to pay.

Yes, we have life insurance through my hubbies job, State Farm, and we are seriously considering getting our babies on through Gerber Life.

I used to work for State Farm Insurance and part of my job was helping families when a loved one passed away. You don't know how many families I saw with not enough insurance and not being able to do anything for them. I don't work for State Farm anymore nor sell life insurance but I could sure be a salesperson for it because I have seen first hand what life can be like without it. I agree that Term is best for us young families with limited budgets. My husband and I each have a few policies and our daughter. We came to life insurance amounts based on making sure we would have enough to not only cover our mortgage and other big debts, but pay for the education for our children. I think it's just smart and though morbid, a part of life and being responsible.

Yes, we do. Since having our child, we have 3 life insurance policies on both myself and my husband, so that we will be ok if something should happen.

I recommend it very highly. We have Metropolitan Life, Mutual of Omaha (mine I have had for over 15 years) and then also Phoenix Life. Really 4, since we aren't including his job insurance.

It is good to have something to fall back on and not just have the one from your husband's job. We only have 1 child, but we are a bit older and you just never know.

D.,

I don't have insurance outside of my husbands job, but if you are looking for information about it, I use to work for Farmers, and they have great life insurance for cheap. If this is what you are looking for, then I suggest you look into Farmers Life Insurance. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I can hook you up with a great Agent.

Thanks,

A.

Yes, we do have insurance on both of us through our jobs and outside our jobs. Term insurance is cheapest and personally I think the smartest. You need to cover the loss of either of you during this critical time..... the years your children are at home. Term can be bought cheap and for 10 or 20 years. And unlike the insurance through your job, it stays with you no matter where you work.

My friend sells insurance, her name is Anne and her number is ###-###-####.
