Lets Count Our Blessings

I love that!...optimism is key to a happy life, i really do believe that.

1. my kids are smart, happy AND healthy(the trifecta!)
2. My house is paid for
3. my husband and i are happier than ever and have great sex :)
4.I have 20 lbs to go before my goal
5. its summer, that means vacations!
6.my birthday is coming up

For me there are too many blessings to mention. But at THIS particular moment, I am grateful you posted this. It's not possible to 'over appreciate' the good in our lives.

I can't remember exactly how the saying goes but its something like, "if we all got together and threw our problems in a big pile, we would grab ours back after seeing everyone elses". I'm blessed in many ways and have been thru hell the last year with my husbands ex and custody issues. You know the saying "when you are in hell, keep walking". You will eventually get thru it. Best wishes.

Perfect timing or Divine timing?!

I've also been very stressed. My husband just became self-employed (long story). My 21 year old is living at home this summer because of his job. He owes us money and I constantly feel like I'm in between my husband and son about when, how and how much he's paying us back. I feel my 17 year old has not followed through on commitments. BUT. . . I have annoyances in my life, not true hardships. And it's good for me to remember that!

My DH was worried about having clients, now he's worried about enough time! He is an amazing husband and if possible even better daddy! Not to mention my best friend of 24 years.

Our son, is a GOOD kid! Just needs a little more foundation under his feet. And after already being out on his own with no one to answer to, he respects the house rules without question. And he's fun to have a round!

Our daughter is a focused/driven beautiful (inside as well as out) young woman with a good head on her shoulders. Gets good grades with a heavy academic load and is working this summer as well.

Neither child has had more than a speeding ticket and are well loved and well respected by all.

We have a full refrigerator and freezer and pantry.

Have a beautiful home.

A reliable car.

Have wonderful family.

I too am grateful I can see and appreciate the beauty of everything around me.

Love music, art, movies.

I have amazing friends and we are able to just sit and enjoy each other's company on a routine basis.

I have 2 healthy dogs.

Wonderful neighbors.

Theresa is right, there really are many more. It's always a good lesson to think of your blessings instead of your worries.

I'm greatful for a wonderfully loving, caring, attentive, understanding, smart, good looking and funny man who has given me two wonderful children that are heathly.
I'm greatful that we have our own home that we can alter in any way we want and that we live out in the country where I can sit outside at sunset and enjoy the peace and quiet - or on some nights like last night - watch five combines in the fields behind our house harvest grain.
I'm thankful for my family and friends - most of them who live close by and I talk to a lot. They are healthy as well.
I'm thankful for my husband's job - which pays well, has great benefits and allows us to not have to put the kids in daycare!!
I'm thankful for my job which I really enjoy and love the people I work with.
I'm thankful for my abilities to hear and see and taste so I can enjoy things in life that I enjoy (talking, listening, watching tv and movies and eating!)
I'm thankful for my church!!

Our problems always seem huge but like you said in the grand scheme of things they are pretty minor once they are put into perspective.

I am blessed to have a wonderful family who are all healthy and thriving.

I am blessed to have a house of our own.

I am blessed with reliable transportation.

I am blessed with a job that allows me to work from home.

Many many more.....

Too many people spend too much time focusing on what they don't have instead of what they do have. Take time out to smell the roses as they say.

There's always someone else out there who has it worse and would love to have what we have. So our problems are more often than not very minor compared to others. Count your blessings and pray for those less fortunate.

I'm thankful for my husband, mother, daughters, grandson, our good health, my pets, especially my 16 year old cat that never leaves my side, my daycare, my house, my garden, the opportunities God gives me to be a help to others, the ministries that I know that help people in so many ways, online bible messages, pull-ups and disposable diapers!!, technology, one of my daycare boys just got potty trained finally!... the longer than usual cool spring, the rain that waters my garden, The HOLY SPIRIT, my pastor mentors that I learn from, books, audio books, BOSE headphones! LOL...facebook, mamapedia, The silly things my daycare kids do that make us all laugh....

I think I could go on and on ;) God is so good.

We also need to be thankful for lessons even when they are hard, trials that test our faith and teach us, and even God's chastisement when we need it.

4. my sisters and mom and dad are healthy and after a lot of problems they finally find a solution
5. my dad found a job
6. i live good( i have computer,transportation)
7. i have a wonderful family (i can not ask for more)
