I just turned 39, have two toddlers, and work fulltime.

Ive always had a good complexion, but i can definately see/feel a difference in my skin lately. I think i need a new daytime& nightime moisturizer.

Gone are the days of spending whatever i wanted at the Lancome counter. Were talking Target.

Any suggestions?

Try a book called Don't go to the Cosmetic Counter Without me (or the website). It outlines the best products over a variety of price ranges. I used to use only LaPrarie, things from Nordstrom etc. Now I use 5-10 dollar bottles and have seen no downgrade in my skin. For day, I use dove or oil of olay day cream with SPF. For night, I use oil of olay night cream (plain - not the red box kind).

Ps - also drinking lots of water is the best thing i have done for skin. I can tell by the way my face feels if I have drank enough water.
good luck

I too like olay, and that's all my young looking grandma ever used her whole life! And the kinerase people now make a line for Walmart.

A note of caution: My doctor had me do a saliva test which showed my testoserone levels to be very high. This was different than the last test so she asked what I was doing different. I had gotten Oil of Olay products for Christmas and began using them. My doc said they add testoserone to some face creams including Oil of Olay. The list of ingredients on the container can be deceptive because they can use a different name and they don't have to list ingredients if they are under a certain percentage. What ever you put on your skin is absorbed into your bloodstream!

I used to use Neutrogena all day moisturizer with like SPF 15 in it but I found that the equate brand works just as well and is half the price. It is lightweight and gives a bit of skin protection, I really like it :) The exact name is Equate Absolutely Beaming Moisturizer. Good luck!

I've always had good skin...... i thought. I started a home business selling non-toxic cleaners. My line also offered beauty products, so I switched a few years ago to try them.......and my skin got even better. fewer lines and very healthy. I'd recommend it even if I weren't selling it. If interested send me a request and I'll send you a link. I think this is a reasonable line, but it isn't a cheap Target brand..... not sure you will find what you want there.

I'm 15 years older than you are and am proud of my skin.

Whatever you choose...... read the label. Before I switched I realized the product I was using had formaldehyde in it! Before that I used a big name brand for years. It was ok when I was a teenager but finally realized it was drying my aging skin.

I use the Neutragena Deep Clean Oil Free makeup removing wipes in the evening and then put on Aveeno Clear Complexion daily moisturizing lotion after and then again in the morning. I have tried every combination of cleanser and lotion after deciding to give up my beloved Clinique due to a tightened budget and really love this combo. My skin is normal to dry and this works great to keep a balance so my skin isnt greasy or too dry. The lotion also works great under my daily face powder (which is Clinique...I just can't replace my double powder superface powder).

Aveeno for babies is my favorite. :-)

I also like Jergens.

For my face, I use Neutragena Intensified Day Moisture. Even though it says 'day' on the product, I still use it at night time after I wash my face. :-)

Lush ... you may see it as pricey, however the products actually last since you use LESS than you would other brands ... www.lushusa.com or find a store in your local mall typically. Honestly, I am never going back!

I have used a lot of brands such as Clinique, Mary Kay, BeautiControl, NuSkin to brands at Walmart or drugstore. Lately I have been using Avalon Organics which I found at Whole Foods. It is an anti-aging line and I love it. The cleanser, toner and moisturizer cost me $50, but it lasts for a good 9 months! The moisturizer alone was $25. I get facials every now and then and I have always been told my skin was in good condition. I am 40. Hope this helps!

I just switched to the Aveeno line - think it's called Positively Ageless. It has a great exfoliating cleanser, eye cream, a day and night moisturizer - 3 steps! So far, I really like it. It comes in a starter set, but I can't remember the cost of that.

You need to start from the inside. Fish oil is amazing for the skin. Drink milk. Drink water. For the outside, I use a cheap moisturizer and body lotion - Pond's Deep Moisturizer for the face and Oil of Olay w/ shea butter. My skin is very soft...I'm 43 and I am genetically prone to extremely dry skin. My mother and her sisters all have alligator skin (I used to have it too) - the kind of skin that flakes off when they walk by (so, so gross). So when I say what I use works - it really works.

I love the LIFT products by Mannatech and highly recommend them. My skin is much softer now and even some of those laugh lines have improved. Check them out on www.mannatechskincare.com - well worth the price and lasts quite awhile. Natural ingredients, too.

Hi:) I know I'm coming late to the party, but I thought I'd weigh in anyway! I work at a nursing home, and a 90+ year old lady there swears by Dollar General brand Night Time moisturizer (generic for Oil of Olay). I gave it a try - $4 - and really like it! I've used Clinique for 10 years, and even when I'd try Neutrogena I'd break out just a little in the T zone (usually have pretty clear, nice skin). I've had no break outs, my skin feels nice, and I'm saving $35 bucks versus the Clinique night cream!

I completely understand about cutting back...but skincare is not the area to cut back on. Your face is the first thing people see...it is truly our first impression. I had used it all...high end, low end and everything in between. I was invited to try Arbonne's RE9 anti-aging line and saw a difference immediately. Moisturisers are really important, but please do not ignore the cleanser. What you use to wash your face is so important. The proof is in the results. I just got carded at our local casino and I am 47, so these products really work.

I use and have family that uses the moisturizer creams from BeautiControl. They have a day time and a night time moisturizer and the daytime moisturizer comes in 2 different types depending on the individual person's skin analysis. I would be happy to chat with you more about these products if you are interested and we can determine what is the best for you. I also have a website for this company if you interested. Don't want to be pushy so I wont post it here but if you want that just message me.
