Okay Moms, this is my first question on here. I am a huge bind. About a year ago my husband switched jobs, and we lost about 15k a year, It needed to be done though. We have 4 kids at home that range from 17 to 3. The three oldest attend public school and the youngest stays home with me. I also go to school fulltime online. In July, we almost lost our house, so I went out looking for jobs. I did get a part time job, but it is on the days my husband is not working, so I am only getting about 12 hrs a week. It could be up to 5 years before I can do anything with my degree because of this lovely economy. My degree is in Fire Prevention Technology, so basicaly for the fire field. With all that being said, I need something I can also do from home. I have tried selling items, but I ended up in the red in every case. I am, however, great with a computer and paperwork! I tried to google at home jobs, but you can imagine the amount of junk I got. It is so hard to decipher what is legit and what is not. Can anyone lend any advice of companies that fit for my situation? I would be greatly appreciative. God Bless :)

check out my website

I represent an energy marketer--no product to sell, no inventory to keep, just relationship marketing just like the others.

If you want more information, let me know!
Thanks,
K.

I work full time but work at home part time. Too much info to share here but it is not a "get rich quick" scam as you have to work to build your business and it is not an MLM. If you would like more info I can give you a call this evening. PM me or go to www.workathomeunited.com/madden

Good luck.

Use the computer skills you have for an admin position, possibly for a person on sales who also works from home. This can be done virtually. Talk to temp agencies.

With this post, you will get hit up by all the MLM recruiters about how fast you can make money, blalh with investing, recruiting, selling, etc. BEWARE

If you children are in school, work at a moms day out with your little one, day care center, etc.

Think outside the box, get creative and you can probably come up with something.

We run our company from home (Of course not a MLM) and many people we deal with have home based offices. We rely on the computer and phone and when the time is right, we will certainly consider a mom working from home to help us run our business.... insurance covered t 100%.

Contact some local hospital's Medical transcription is huge, done from home and is legit if you are working through a hospital. They typically have minimal trainings on site (about once a quarter). It can be demanding as many are backlogged, but you can do it when the kiddos are in bed, at school, napping, work around your class schedule.
Look for jobs in the HIS department (health information services) or a variation of that.
You could also call your local physicians and see who they use to do their transcriptions, there could be a central company for your area.
Best of luck!

Hi A.! Were you able to find something? You had some good suggestions below, including the company that I just started with. www.workathomeunited.com/themillers
You owe it to yourself to watch the free informational webcast that we offer and that gets you ALL the info so you can decide if this is for you or not! I also worked in the corporate world for 10+ years, and wanted to find something that I could do from home, with out selling products that everyone didn't need! I had also tried the Medical Transcriber, but the training was super expensive, as well as an at home travel agent. None of those worked for me. I have been doing this for 2 months as I mentioned, and I will be able to cover our mortgage this month. That was my goal- so this definitely works for me! Msg me for more info, and to just let me know what you found!
