I have a 22 month old who is now getting all of his teeth at once (Lord Help Us!) We worked through the molars (Whew) now he's getting his "canines" as my husband says and the rest now as well. My question is, is the horror over, he seems to be doing really well with his attitudes now and his teething, is it because the hard ones are over with? (Molars), or is because he's cut so many at one time, his gums are just used to the pain? Please, someone tell me, that the teething does get easier once the molars are through!!
Well, thank you to everyone who gave me incredible advice! It seemed to have worked, he's still been my happy little camper while cutting his teeth, and I've noticed, that his speech is getting better now that he has so many teeth to pronounce words! Once again, thanks to everyone, and I'm sure I'll be back for some more advice!
WOw. You sound like me. My son is only a year but when he starts to get new teeth he gets 2-3 at a time. I liked "little teethers" by the same company as little noses and etc. They are little tablets that you put in their mouth or in their drink. My soon took them with no problem and didn't fuss a bit. I wish you luck and just remember it will be over soon.

It does get better, I think, because they understand that it goes away. A little Orajel rubbed on the bad spots helps a lot as does an occassional dose of Tylenol. Popcicles can be good, too. The good news is, the later they come in, the later they fall out, Don't forget to brush those tiny little sparklers. They make "training" toothpaste that helps keep clean without flouride, so it doesn't matter if they swallow it.

I feel your pain. My daughter is 13 months old and only has the bottom two teeth. I keep wondering when the rest will show up but so far nothing!
I found the most wonderful thing for tething ever! They sell these all natural teething tablets at most stores... they are awesome. They disolve incredibly easy so you don't have to worry about choking. My 8 month old cries and cries because he is teething and I give him 2 of those tablets and he stops immediately. Just thought I would pass on the same thing someone passed on to me... And yes... it does get better...
Dye-free infant motrin drops and popsicles make the transition a lot easier.
Try Hylands Teething Tablets in the vitamin section at Walmart. They are homeopathic and work wonders. My 3 year old did not have a tooth in her mouth til 15 months of age. I know your pain!
Wow! So sorry for both of you! I have heard the molars are the worst (although those will be last for us), so you should be done with the worst of it. Good luck!!!
my daughter is also 22 mons and shes a late teeter also. The doctor told me with my son that after the molars come through they're gums don't hurt as bad. She isn't having a problem with the teething as much as this stomach virus that keeps lingering! This too shall pass :) *L.*
