Elizabeth's Cake Supplies in Euless has the Ladybug cake pan to rent for $1 plus deposit. This would be an inexpensive way to have a great cake and it doesn't look like it would be too hard to decorate.

I made my daughter's first birthday cake using the wilton pan. I changed the colors and made it pink and purple, but it was super easy and turned out really cute.

Probably aren't going to get much cheaper than doing it yourself! I made the cake in advance and stuck it in the freezer. That way all I had to do the week of was actually prep for the party and decorate the cake.

You could make individual cupcakes. That would be cute and not too hard.

Did you check hobby lobby or michaels? Have you checked online for a design to print off and take to someone?

We always buy our cakes from Creative Memories in Hurst. They have hundreds of designs, and you can see many of them online. They do have some cute ladybug cakes! Here's the website:

I don't know where you live but in Plano off of Park and the Tollway there is a specialty cake store on the NE corner of Park and the tollway. I actually don't know the name but every time I go to Target I pass right by it and the decor looks amazing. Good Luck.
