JFF... When Was the Last Time You... - Richmond,VA

...wore a full face of makeup?

For no reason other than my son's sleeping, I'm re-organizing the bathroom cabinet and found a bottle of foundation. So, of course, I started procrastinating by putting foundation on. Then I realized... this stuff must be at LEAST 2 years old!! Gross! [garbage]...

That got me thinking... when was the last time I wore a full face of makeup? I'd have to say Halloween... but before that? I HAVE NO IDEA!! I didn't even wear that much make up for our wedding last June, just a little mascara, maybe a little eyeshadow, that's it.

It's not a bad thing, my face doesn't like make up, and I really don't NEED to wear it, but there's something so exciting about having a reason to get all dolled up and give yourself a make over!!

So when was the last time you wore make up?

Or really took your time to do your hair? Nails?

When was the last time you put on a pair of your sexiest sky high heels?

I'm feeling saucy!! I might need a ladies night this weekend, LOL!! ;)

What can I do next?

Light powder...blush...mascara...and lips daily (whether subbing or not)

Heels...sporadically...lol...My feet ACHE now with heels...(old age? Not consistent enough wearing heels VS flats?)

Nails and toes I have given up on...I have them short and clean now...but any nail polish seems to chip too quick to be worth it!!

Hair is long enough now I can pull it back...but seriously thinking on shaving my head and just getting some 'fun' wigs!!

Gonna give santa a call...

Make up everyday after I exercise and shower. I just feel sexier and more "together" if I wear makeup and dress nice. I think it is a real mood changer. I am a SAHM..I don't need to feel like a SAHM 24-7..I am a woman and a wife too.

Toes always are painted. I live in flip flops and love pretty toes and toe rings. My hubby loves it to so it is partly for him.....fingernails for special occasions. Nails just chip and look trashy after 2 days.

I do my hair nice every Sunday for church...other days it is in a cute pony.

Good luck and best wishes at a fun ladies night..hope you get to do it!!

I wear makeup daily. I can't imagine not having makeup on. I have very fair skin, blonde hair, and I look like I am not feeling well, my eyes disappear, if I don't wear makeup. I do wear it in a natural look though. I keep it light, but do like the tad bit of color added to my cheeks and eyes.
Hair, again, daily. It's important to me. Nails, not as much. I work hard around the house, so they get a beating. I would love to make time to get them done regularly though. I just never do. Occasionally I will paint some clear polish on them, and I love that. High heels, never. I can't cope with them. Ever since I broke my femur I can't handle anything like that without being in extreme pain. But, I do like pretty shoes. :)

nails....on a regular basis, revolving around the wkends. Daycare thru the week wipes them out.

make-up: I keep to a minimum due to allergies to scents. Even the non-allergenic stuff is bugging me this winter. Eye liner & mascara, lipstick....& occasionally some powder.....& that's it. Everything else has been making me cough....

"fun" clothes....I wore charcoal gray nail polish & my kickass boots to my ILs Christmas party. One of my nieces posted a pic of me, & my best friend said she saw "attitude" written all over me....even my stance. Love her....she read me right!

For 2moro's Family Christmas Party, I'm wearing very pretty clothes & shoes. It's all in the attitude, ladies!

A few times a week when I go out, but about once a week i do my make-up really well (with the eyeliner and such). But if I'm staying home, then I am make-up free. But then again, I am a former make-up artist.

As for my hair, I blow dry/flat iron it a few times a month, but it usually air dries well enough that I can fix it nicely if I need to. I'm also a hairstylist!

Every single day. I need my mascara or I just don't feel right! Now the hair, unless we are going somewhere I usually just dry it and clip it up because I blow dry with the round brush and it takes forever! I have big hair and i love to do it but all that teasing takes a while!Nails, I try to keep them painted at all times too but that kind of gets put on the back burner :)I used to work in a office so I wore heels everyday and dressed up without a doubt. Now for the last 4 yrs I've been a sahm and im a lot fatter so my nike shox are my high heels, but I have been trying to get used to them again because they make me feel good!

I almost always wear a "full face". During the day I usually tone done the eye shadow and just wear foundation, blush, mascara, lip gloss, and a little eye shadow. At night I will use that plus eye liner and more eye shadow. I do my hair with a round brush after I wash it so it looks good for 2 days. Nails are a waste of money. I just keep them short and clean. I don't want polish chipping off into my food. High heels...I rarely ever wear them. Maybe on a holiday. But I am 5 '7, I don't really need them.

My nails are always done on Sunday night. Luckily after years of paying someone I started doing them myself and they look better than any nail tech has made them look.

Make-up yesterday and wore my new black knee length boots.

Normally it's yoga pants and tennis shoes but I go work-out right after I drop our son off for school in the afternoon.

I always have liked dressing up and I now only wear Bare Minerals so I save money by not wearing it everyday so I can afford it. What's the point of a full face of make-up when I'm going to sweat it off in less than 10 minutes?

Great question!

I'd have to say around Thanksgiving when I had a night out to see my husband's band!

I must admit I do feel much better wearing makeup and "getting dolled up," even moreso since having a baby. It wasn't until I had her that I actually did a full hair makeover!

Makeup and hair? Yesterday, actually. My 10yr old is at an age where she wants her mom to look halfway decent in public. Since I was helping out in her school library (during her class's library time), I decided to do her a favor and slap on the makeup and wear a cute (but still comfortable, I'm not insane, you know) outfit. I hope she appreciated the effort, because it took me forever to get that dang mascara off and I still looked like a raccoon this morning. I gotta say, I clean up nice, but, ugh, it's time consuming and I look *just fine* without it...my own opinion, of course.

Sexiest sky high heels? Nails? Last August at a wedding. Wanted to chop my feet off by the end of the night. I wish flip-flops were considered formal wear...

My hair? I wash it twice a week and when I do I blow dry it out then straighten it with a flat iron. The other 5 days? I wear a shower cap. I've gotten so many compliments since doing this routine about how shiny and nice my hair looks. :) and I LOVE that I'm ready SO quickly in the morning.

I wash my hair twice a week and straighten it with a dryer, wear it down that day and a cute side bun the other days for running around. I do my own nails once a week, and wore my sexy shoes last night to a Christmas party! I have girls night about once every other week and try to wear heels each time. I wear makeup every day just about. It's a really fast process, like 5 minutes. Quick application of foundation, a little powder and highlighter, sweep some shadow and highlighter on my eyes, and lipstain. (The makeup does not look heavy, very natural.) I don't wear mascara, because I don't need to. I don't wear nail polish, because I hate the smell. My nails are healthy, so they are just natural. I have tiny kid sized feet, so I could never hope to find heels small enough. My hair is naturally wavy. I let it air dry and use olive oil spray for sheen and to control any static. Simple and easy. It takes a minute or so to do a cure updo or braid. I do wear it down mostly, though. All in all, my process of getting ready is about 10 minutes start to finish. I do feel so much better when I take that little bit of time.

I wear makeup every week day for work and on weekends if we go somewhere special. On the days we stay home, I'm makeup free. Even though I wear it every day, I don't wear a ton; I have kind of a natural look anyway, and I do lots of natural and earth tones. Never lipstick.

Hair? Oh lord, it only really gets styled when I go to my stylist! I did get my hair highlighted a couple of months ago though, and I LOVE it. And since I was a little girl, I always have a couple of tiny braids in my hair. It's long, kind of flower-power child like, but it's as styled as I get.

I never do my nails either. Polish just doesn't look good on me. Heels either, really. But I can rock a hobo bag, over-sized sweater, and a pair of nondescript brown Clarks like nobody's business!!

The last time I wore a face full of make up was today. LOL, of course I wear a face full of make up every day. Primer, Foundation, Concealer, Powder, Eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, eyebrow pencil, lip gloss (lip stick only when I am not working).
I do something with my hair every day, but really do it up nice (like curlers, curling iron, teasing, pinning, etc) when I go somewhere nice...other then that I usually straighten it, and do a bump with my bangs.
I only paint my nails every now and then. I used to get them done every two weeks, but took them off a few years ago. I get lazy with it because it takes too long to dry for me.
I wore my sky high heels last weekend for a night out, but I don't wear them a lot, before that was in August. I used to do housework in my heels. Sounds crazy but I had killer legs after doing it for a few months. ;)
The whole make-up and hair thing has been "my look" forever, so I am just so used to it. It only takes me 5 to put it all on, and only 5 to take off at night. It makes me feel more put together. =)

Last time I wore full make-up was 2 years ago when we took a family picture to put on a holiday card, actually that was the last time I wore make-up at all LOL I am just too lazy to do it all the time.

High heels ... 2 years ago at valentines day ... but my sky high heels days are OVER. Heck I have a feeling my moderately high heeled days are over as well. I broke and dislocated my ankle at the end of January of this year, when I did that I did (according to the surgeon who fixed my ankle) significant ligament and tendon damage. So yeah ... no more high heels for me. Not that I wore them anymore anyway LOL

My nails I used to have them done when I was working full time, but the extra expense I just can't justify anymore, especially since we've got two full time college students in the house now (myself and my oldest son, and we're paying every penny of my oldest son's tuition, and part of mine).

My hair is spiderweb fine, naturally curly (read that as frizzy) and has thinned quite a bit (read that as I've got a bald spot at the back of my head) so it goes up in a clip pretty much every day. I shower every 2-3 days (sensative skin doesn't like it when I shower daily) and wash my hair when I do. Maybe once a week I'll wear my hair down till it's dry, then up it goes. It drives me nuts if it gets in my face.

So yeah ... jeans and a decent shirt, no make-up, tennis shoes or flats and hair in a clip is my standard uniform, and has been for a long long long time. Even when I worked full time at a state agency that was my standard wardrobe :)

I only wear makeup when I'm on stage, for Samhain, or for formal occasions.
Same goes for nail polish. I play guitar and piano, so I just keep my nails short and clean.
I keep my hair short so that I don't have to "do" it. I get out of the shower, towel off my head, and can finger-comb it into place.
Heel height depends entirely on the outfit.

I recently got my hair cut so now it is super easy to fix. I used a hair product in it a few days ago. My nails...I wanted to do them last night but couldn't find the nail polish remover. I have to go to Walgreens later so I'm going to pick some up and will probably make them all lovely tonight. As for the shoes... bahaaa! I don't own high heels anymore.
