JFF Favorite Thing to Pack for a Trip?

Clothespins! Great for closing those darn drapes that never quite meet in the center and let the light in! (Also good to hold a page in a book, hang bathing suits, etc.) I have never been on a trip and not used them.

I buy a bunch of those magazines that are on the end caps at grocery stores. The gossip ones about the famous people. I don't usually buy those unless it's for a trip.
A pair of cozy socks - after wearing flip flops all day it's nice to relax with some soft socks.
All the PPted electronics.
Games

These are my essentials

Pillow (my pillow goes everywhere with me)

Laundry detergent (have sink, will wash, I've even used an airport sink before and dried them in the cab)

Towel (thankyou Douglas Adams, a sarong works GREAT as a towel, btw, and people look at you less funny when you go out in public with it)

Something to write on. Preferably with a keyboard

Camera (with filmcards and batteries to spare)

I assume you are asking not what is NEEDED but a fun thing to take? I always go out and buy a new sexy nighty and don't show it to hubby so he is always surprised when I come out of the bathroom in a new nighty...just for the trip! (by the way, this is a good idea for those of you who want to get away with hubby more often, he tends to plan an overnight trip for us every couple months!!!) =)

Ginger root chews. they help with motion sickness for me and allows me to read in the car.

My iPod. Helps drown out noises!

I would add a crossword magazine to your list and I always take a bathing suit on a trip.

Hand sewing or crocheting for in the car.
My computer for early mornings and late evenings so I can get online and chat and email and read MamaP.

I could go anywhere in the world if I have....

At last one book, lots of magazines, extra underwear. My daughter laughs at me, but I just think you cannot have enough clean underwear.

My pillows. I cant sleep on any pillow except my funky shaped hard foam pillow.

Sunglasses, beach towel and bikini - it means I am going someplace hot and sunny!

My own pillow and blanket and pillows and blankets for the kiddos, for use in the car and at the resort/hotel. A small piece of comfort from home.

Snacks. My family is always thrilled at how prepared I am when an hour into the trip two are yelling "Mooooom, I'm hungry"
