I have Christmas music on all day now. I love this season.

So what is your favorite Christmas song?'

Mine is "LetThere Be Peace on Earth"

We were at Busch Gardens Christmas Town this weekend and my daughter and I danced the whole time on the bridge to it. embarrassing the rest of the Girl Scouts of course. lol

Her's is The Christmas Shoes, which we haven't heard yet this season.

What can I do next?

The Messiah. Yes, the whole thing.
I also love a Norwegian carol called 'Mitt Hjerte Alltid Vanker.' There is a beautiful rendition of it on YouTube sung by Sissel with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Just about one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard, and I got a degree in music so that's saying a lot ;)

I love them all but my all time favorite is Away In the Manager. I do tend to like the more religious ones more though.

O Holy Night

I love how the music slowly builds and then......

'Fall on your knees' (<---- my favorite part)

'The weary world rejoices'
'With All Our Hearts We Praise His Holy Name'

I think it is very powerful, and really hits me in the heart.

I know it's not rudolph or anything ;)

Merry CHRISTmas!
KATIE

Silent Night, and Oh Holy Night.

After those, I like something I can dance too: Jingle Bell Rock. And I despise Mariah Carey with a passion (the high pitched squealing hurts my ears, lol) BUT I do love "All I want for Christmas is You".

Can I just say "All of them!" ?

Really, though, a few favorites are "Do You Hear What I Hear," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," and "Thank God for Kids." I also really like all the crooner classics...I'll Be Home for Christmas, White Christmas, etc.

I love Sleigh Bells. That's my favorite. Love the crack of the whip and the horse whinny. I love the classics but I also like to get a laugh every once in a while. So I like Dominick the Donkey, funny versions of the 12 Days of Christmas and stuff like that.

I love that my daughter loves her carols, too. We like to sing them in the car together.

My favorite (I don't care who sings it) is O Holy Night. I love John Berry's version but any will do.

I love Rascal Flatts version of Mary Did You Know (I think the only song they ever do that Gary isn't the lead on). Christmas Carol by Skip Ewing (I think) is one that brings tears to my eyes; as does Paper Angel by Jimmy Wayne.

As for funny Christmas songs, although it's not a Christmas song, my favorite is Adam Sandler's Chanukah Song

For more of a religious song I like O Holy Night or Do You Hear What I Hear. For a more secular song, I agree with K's Mom, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Vince Vance.

Who's version of "Let There Be Peace on Earth?" Love a version put out with Vince when his daughter Jenny was about 9.

Also like many of the usual ones - the ones you learned in school/choir! Also like Kathy Mattea's "Mary Did You Know" ... tho I know others also sing it!

sorry - dislike Vince/Valiants because it is so overplayed on the radio here!

I like a lot of the songs but my favorite is "All I Want For Christmas Is You", BUT NOT the one sung by Mariah Carey! I like that one ok, but if you search for VINCE VANCE AND THE VALIENTS Its a song by the same name but not the same song. Its pretty, and sexy and I love to listen to it over and over.
My family has a tradition of decorating our tree to Feliz Navidad and always call our son and leave that song on his answering machine so he knows we put up the tree. That song makes me smile everytime I hear it.

I forgot about "Let there be peace on Earth", I love it. I love Christmas and it is the time of year to put away judgement and stress, and have a peaceful heart ("let it begin with me"). Thinking of peace, I love "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear".

And I love really old-fashioned Christmas Carols, Deck the Halls, Coventry Carol (sad, but beautiful), The Holly and Ivy, King Wenceslas, and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

Also Mary's Boy Child by Boney M. and Charlie Brown's Christmas is constantly in the CD player in December.
