okay ladies, i finally got my period 9weeks after my d&c BUT, it all began monday when i only spotted and i really mean spotted, actually spotted is an over estimate of how much i spotted, so anyway, i spotted for a day & a half then on the 3rd day boom suddenly i bled so heavy, i mean clots were literally falling out each time i used the restroom (i know, tmi) i cramped sooooo bad, i was barely able to walk to the restroom without my hubby help. I had to call my mom over to watch our 19 mo old son. Now here it is today and theres no sight of bleeding, which means i only bled for 24hrs if that. My normal period usually lasts for 3 days.So my questoin is , is this normal, i thought i would bleed for at least 3 days considering i havent bled since the very day of my d& c which lasted a few hours following the procedure, so what cd am i on? Do i start counting from the first day i spotted which was monday 9/20?

What can I do next?

It seems to me if you bled very heavily then the body did it's job of shedding your uterine lining quicker than normal. I would be more concerned about the cramping too hard to walk business of your question than the length of your period! After the birth of my kids, the first periods were very weird- I imagine the same is true after a d&c. You should certainly call your doctor if you are worried! You don't necessarily have to go in to get reassurance that it is normal or advice to get care if it's not. As for what cd you are on, I think you start from the first day of bleeding, not the last.

I'd call the doctor's office.

Mark it on your calendar and see what happens.

this could be fine..... they cleaned you out with a d&C... so now you only have a little... after another period.. it should be normal on the 3rd one.. good luck
