Intimate Birthday Planning.
Does anyone know where I can buy afforable party stuff? It's not a big party. It's an intimate party between me and my two children (one of them being the birthday girl). Anywho, also does anyone know of any nice parks in Corona/Riverside area? With a lake possibly, a nice scenery 'type of place'--to take pics.
I've tried posting this earlier, but it din't seem to go thru, sorry if you see two listings.

Hi D.-
Party America off of Cajalco in the Crossings center turned into Party City and they have great prices. All the tableware is 1/2 off. I get a lot of things there. If you are making her cake there is a cake supply shop In Norco. Heading from Corona inot Norco it is on Hamner before Second. Sorry I can't remember the name-the buildings are an orange/yellow stucco color. I think they also have favors.
Parks-
Yorba Regional Park in Yorba Linda is fantastic (off the 91 at Weir Canyon). You can get there in 20 minutes with no traffic. This is one of our favorite parks and worth the drive. You can rent little paddle boats for the lake and feed ducks. Great for a picnic. In Riverside, you can try Fairmount Park (near downtown) or Cirtus Historic Park (off Van Buren). I think they both have lakes. Prado park is off the 71, technically in Chino but very close to Corona.
Hope these help you out.

For a park here in town, Citrus Park on Rimpau and Santana (near the Walmart on Ontario) is opening a new water playground August 19. We were there over the weekend and it looks like fun.

I live in Riverside and used to live in Corona. I can't think of any big parks like that off the top of my head but know there is a small park at mckinley and promenade, off of promenade. It is across from the shopping center that Vons is in and behind the apartments on that corner. It is a nice little park I can't remember if it has picnic tables though. As for cheap party supplies my friend used to make pinatas her self and it is really easy. You can do almost anything you want. You just paper mache a box if you want to do a square shape like a train or sponge bob. Or paper mache a baloon if you want to do a round shape like a head (dora or diego or whatever) or a dinosaur. Then you can decorate it with crepe paper and paint. I have one baby boy and am also looking for new friends. If you want you can e-mail me at ____@____.com.

Oh, there are a BUNCH of nice parks! In Riverside, there's Fairmount park with a lake. In Corona, you can try Tehachapi Tehachapi Park at Tehachapi and St. Helena, it has really nice big green trees that look good for pictres. Also, try UCR's Botanic Garden which has a great big green lawn and big beautiful trees too. Good luck!

I would highly recommend the Yorba Regional Park right off the 91 FWY. We went to a birthday party there last summer and it was beautiful, relaxing and had great scenery.
