Info Needed About Bleeding During Pregnancy
I am 2 weeks pregnant with my second child. and I have been spotting a little bit for 2 days. and today It seems to be worse. Im not in any pain or anything. Im just really scared my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since may. I just want to know if anyone ever beed during there first trimester. Thank you
So What Happened?™
Thank you all for the responses. after reading everyone's stories I just can't believe how many had miscarriages. I took my blood test yesterday and It didnt go up as high as the Doctor wanted. They said it was not a normal pregnancy. I go for my second ultra sound in the morning. Im just still sad because I want this baby so bad. I didnt have too much bleeding today so i hope things are still a go. thank you all
So today i had my Ultra sound and i got to see the babies heart beat. That made me so emotional i was so worried, Im glad that so far the baby is alive.

My husbsnd and I got pregnant the first month we tried. I started spotting about 6 weeks along. I was very scared and we went to the emergency room. They did an ultrasound and found out I was 6 weeks pregnant and that i was probably having a miscarige. They said the bleeding would get worse and their was nothing they could do. They said the bleeding should only last for a couple more days and if not to come back in. I was still bleeding a lot a couple of days later so I went back in. They did another ultasound and said I had passed the embryo already and sent me home. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through and wish it upon no one. It is very common I found out but it still doesn't make it any easier. We tried agian and gpt pregnant 3 months later and now have a daughter that is 15 months. I sometimes think that if I hadn't miscarried then i wouldn't have my daughter I would have a totally different child. So sometimes things work out in the end no matter how much it sucks now. Good luck! I hope everything is ok. If you have seen the heartbeat then that sounds like a very good sign.

Hi K.,
I did bleed too in the first trimester. I think I may be 6 weeks along. I was scared as well and called my sis in law who is a doctor. She said this is very common. She also said that unfortunately if it were a miscarrige there is really nothing that you can do about it. My bleeding was very spotty and stopped the second day. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I know how nervous and scared you must be. I would definitely talk to your doctor. With my first pregnancy I had no bleeding but the ultra sound showed a slow heart beat and sure enough, that week I started having horrible cramps but still no bleeding. Unfortunately another ultra sound showed that I had miscarried and I had to have a D&C to remove the baby.
With my second pregnancy I started bleeding at around 5 weeks and was off and on for about 10 weeks or so. Because of the previous miscarriage, my doctor did an ultra sound right away and the baby's heart beat looked strong and she continued to monitor me weekly. All signs of the baby were good, but still bleeding. So she put me on bed rest for 2 1/2 months and the lower activity stopped the bleeding. My pregnancy after about 5 months was completely normal and now I have a beautiful, VERY ACTIVE, 21 month year old daughter.
So again, see your doctor. As others have posted, some spotting is common as well.
My best wishes for a safe and healthy pregnancy!!

Hi, K.! I bled off and on for the first three months of my pregnancy. I had several ultrasounds and they could find nothing wrong. The same thing happened to my mother with all 4 of her pregnancies. Go get checked out by your doctor ASAP though to be on the safe side. If nothing else it willmake you feel better.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Bleeding during pregnancy can be such a scary thing. I would call your care provider. I had some bleeding with my first pregnancy in my first trimester, but it is something you want to talk to a doc about right away.
hope that helps.

I know hoe you are feeling. I miscarried my first baby at 13 weeks then when I got pregnant for a second time I started spotting at 6 weeks I was so scared but my doctor did an ultrasound and it was perfectly fine and now he is 2 1/2. I didnt get put on bed rest or anything but they just did the ultrasound to be sure it was ok. just see your doctor as soon as you cna because the more you worry the worse it will be. Good luck! and if you need anything dont hesitate to send a message. its always easier to talk to somebody that has had similar experiences.

I would suggest you talk to your doctor. I did a little spotting the first couple weeks of my pregnancy and that is normal. But when it starts getting heavier that is when you should have some concern. Even if it is nothing at least you know and can take comfort in knowing that your baby is fine. You can't be too careful. Hope everything works out and that you have a beautiful baby in 9 months.

K.,
I have actually heard of people bleeding/spotting all the way through pregnancy. My sister-in-law is currently 5 1/2 months pregnant and still occasionally has some spotting although less than her first trimester. My mom spotted all the way through with me but she got pregnant when my older brother was 4 1/2 months old...seems like I've heard something about pregnancies less than two years apart too.

K.,
I also had been spotting when 7 weeks pregnant. And I was really scared too. I went to my doc and she did an ultrasound to rule out the tubal pregnancy. Everything was fine and I even got a first photograph of my tiny baby :-). Then I spent a week on bed rest, and the bleeding stopped. I have a healthy 5 month old now. However, I have read that about 50% of bleeding result in miscarige. So make sure you check with your OB right away. Good luck.
