I'm Looking for a Mom's Group near Rogers Park

I'm looking for a mom's group near Rogers Park to get together with other moms and their children in the area. My daughter is almost one and since I don't know many other moms who are nearby, I'd like to meet with other women who share the joys and agonies I'm now discovering as a new mom. I'd also love for my daughter to be able to play with other children since I take care of her full-time and she doesn't have the opportunity to see other kids at a day care.

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I don't know if you're interested in going to a mom's group that is sponsored by a church, but I thought I'd pass on the info anyway. First Evangelical Free Church on Ashland and Berwyn has a great moms' group that meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at 9:30 am (people tend to arrive a little later) in the Christian Education building, 2nd floor. On the first Monday, we have playtime with the kids with some activity planned. On the third Monday, we have a speaker talk on a topic that is for the moms, while the kids are babysat in the next room. Also getting underway is a 2nd and 4th Friday playgroup that is not located in the church but at peoples' homes or at a place in the city. Most of the moms are from the area and it is a pretty down-to-earth group. The kids are from newborn to 3 generally, so your kid would fit right in. Hoep this helps. If you need more info, you can contact me and I can send you a list of upcoming topics and planned activities.

Hi A. -
I live in Rodgers Park and belong to two moms groups. One meets every other tuesday and the moms meet upstairs and talk about topics related to our kids and the kids are downstairs with the babysitter. I have met a bunch of people thru this group and learned a lot.

I also am involved with NPN - northsideparents network and I am the captain of the 60645-60626 Rodgers Park playgroup. We meet once a month a different people's homes.

Let me know where you are going to moving to and I will give you some more info on the groups if you are interested.

I have a three year old daughter and a one year old son and have lived in West Ridge (part of West Rodgers Park) for 6 years.)

Hi A.!

I have a 9 month old son and we live in Edgebrook - near Devon & Caldwell. I am looking for other moms too who have children near my son's age. I don't mind going to Rogers Park - if you're game I am too. Let me know if you're interested. I stay at home full time with Sam.
