Ideas Needed - Oklahoma City, OK

Hey ladies, I would like some ideas on what to get my daughter's preschool teachers as a thank you for the end of the school year. For Christmas I made them some fudge and gave them each a $15 gift card from Target. Any ideas would greatley be appreciated!

What can I do next?

My girls and I made note pads for their teachers one year and several have requested them again.

I just folded the regular piece of paper in half both ways so that when it was unfolded it was separated into 4 sections. At the top of each section my girls wrote "From the desk of (teacher name)". I then made copies and cut the sections apart. I bought some rubber cement and bond the tops to that it made a note pad. This is easy and the teachers seem to really like it.

Good luck!

How about a cute little serving dish(maybe one in a cute summer color or pattern)with a pre-made dip mix or spread?

there is a great blog that a lady does with some of the cutest handmade teacher appreciation presents that you can do at home with the kids and you don't have to be super crafty. Her blog is http://skiptomylou.wordpress.com/ I hope this helps you.

FrooFroo gifts like manicures/peidicures, facials, massages are always a great gift to end the year...my opinion!!

gift certificates for pedicures rock-that's my new staple for maggie's teachers and they love it!

I just got my son's pre-school teachers a gift-certificate for a pedicure or manicure. I thought that might be some pampering that they wouldn't otherwise give themselves.

Hey J.!!
As a former teacher myself I would have to say that I loved all the gifts that I received my students. Of course there are always the ones that seem to be used more often. Here are some that I enjoyed and have also given myself: A gift card to a local restaurant, any type of pampering items( bath oils, lotions, etc), earrings-if they wear them or bracelet, gift card to a local nail salon for a manicure/or pedicure. I hope these give you some ideas! Good Luck!!!

Here are some of my standby gifts I like to give: flowering plant, candle (i.e. Yankee Candle - you can frequently find them on sale), something from Bath and Body Works (or other bath products), silver jewelry, homemade baked goods on a pretty plate or in a gift bag, plaque or sign from www.trollydesigns.com, monogrammed towels, picture frame, Starbucks gift card and mug, gift card for their favorite restaurant, a gift basket with several of these items, etc... I like going to little local gift shops and boutiques, or sometimes even the gift section of Cracker Barrel, and I like giving personal gifts (i.e. personalized sign or monogrammed towels, or something that suits their personality)

I think you're right on track with the gift cards! I think teachers end up with so many coffee cups, etc.

I taught preschool for thirteen years and while lotions and such are very appreciated, my favorite gift was a gift card to Borders. Teachers books are so expensive and it is nice to be able to get some new books that benefit everyone. It also gets used over and over. I hope this helps.
