My 2nd wedding anniversary is coming up, March 31st, and my husband and I would like to go some place that is baby friendly. We live in the Bay Area, Santa Clara, CA. We would like it to be in California. Do you have any ideas?

What can I do next?

Pacific Grove on the Monterey Peninsula. Kid and dog friendly town with lots to do and see in the area. Take in the Monterey Aquarium, put your walking shoes on -- walk the beach trail, visit the tidepools, explore the little town and its lovely shops and cottages. Congratualations! PS--I read suggestions re: So. CA--save those for later when your child will enjoy them more--they're expensive! N.

Hi T.,

It depends how far you want to drive. I recommend San Francisco, Napa or Calistoga up North Bay. If you want to go a little south more. I always enjoy Monterey and Carmel. I lovey San Diego, Carlsbad, Seaside, Solvang, and Santa Barbara a lot. Any of the beach side cities along the California coast are nice and relaxing for everyone in the family.

Someplace is SoCal would be best. Anywhere warm by the beach is where your baby can play and you can relax. Stay in San Diego like the other post said. Legoland and the zoo in San Diego are both great. Plus, if you have a sitter or bring a relative with you..the Gas Lamp boasts some romantic restaurants!!

hi T., i agree with the monterey bay area idea. or even santa cruz. we got married on the coast and took our 1 month old daughter with us for our 1 year anniversary and had a really great time. we did a lot of walking and looking at shops. we had a special dinner on the pier and the baby slept most of the day. it was really nice and close to home in case it didn't go so well. :)

Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm come to mind. San Diego has a wonderful zoo which would make for a great family trip as well.

Disneyland, I took my granddaughter at 5 months to Disneyland and she loved it. To this day, she is now 3 yrs old and that is all she talks about and she knows when we get really close to Disneyland, she gets all excited.

Disneyland also has baby switch, if you or your husband don't mind riding the big people rides by yourself. The best time to do this is when the baby is asleep, Once your husband rides, you don't have to start at the end of the line, when he gets off, you get on.
