After 4 very long natural cycles with a short LP I decided my next cycle would be a clomid cycle and my RE was onboard. I ovulated on 12/14 naturally and started bleeding on 12/21 for 2.5 days. I started clomid on 12/23 for five days. Took an opk today (12/30) and it was very positive (cycle day 10) then took a hpt and positive. I am so scared I have hurt this baby by taking the clomid. Has anyone done this or had problems?

What can I do next?

Panicking won't help anything, so try your best to breathe and relax a bit. I took Yaz for nearly 3 weeks while I was pregnant with my son. He is 7 now, with no ill effects :) You only took it for a few days, right? Your doctor can give you more info, of course, but I will tell you this- I know women who have taken all kinds of drugs before they knew they were pregnant and things turned out fine. You know now, you follow the "rules" now, that's the best anyone can do.

ETA : Based on the FDA warnings and clinical testing, I would not be worried if I were you. No human studies have found a link between Clomid taken during pregnancy and any issues with the pregnancy or fetus. It is category X because they have limited information, like most drugs and pregnancy. Don't take any more of course, but stop freaking out!

I was taking lisinopril( high blood pressure medicine) that isn't safe to take while pregnant.before I found out I was pregnant. Found out 3 days before Christmas I was pregnant my doctor was out. Called the pharmacy which told me to stopped the medicine and watch my BP. Everything turned out good. He's a active and smart 16 1/2 month old boy.

Things might have changed in the 16 years since we did IVF but back then, the doctor did a pregnancy test before starting fertility treatment.
Talk to your doctor.

An Ob/GYN in your practice should be available 24/7. Call. If not available, don't take more and call in the morning.

My experience with clomid was that it altered my emotions. Try the slow breathing until you can talk with the doc.
