How to Soothe Underarms After Hair Removal

Help! Last night I used a hair removal cream on my underarms. The formula stated it was for underarms and legs and even stated it was for sensitive skin. However, it burned my underarms terrible and now they sting. Does anyone know what to use to help with the burn?

What can I do next?

As bad as this sounds, AVOID using deodorant until it heals - that will only sting it worse :-) It will get better and next time , you might wanna go back to the old fashioned razor with shaving cream in the shower

Give it another day or two and it should feel better. I wouldn't use those creams again!!!

Hi C.,
Like the spelling, I'm S.. I just don't shave under my arms, that's been my solution. A nice moisturizing cream like Renew from Melaleuca might help.

So it is probably better by now, but if not, I would try the pure aloe, fresh is best. If you have a plant or can go get one, just open up a leaf and rub the gel on. Also icing or cold packs would help too.

Definitely try cheaper solutions like aloe gel first. If you are still stinging/sore, go to a spa or salon that does waxing. I used to get bikini waxes and they sell a cream that you use for a couple days after that really works. I think it had a slight numbing effect.

Try Aloe vera gel(not Lotion) It relieves the pain and speeds healing

Whenever I've used that cream I have found the only thing soothing is Vaseline. A nice thick coating of it over night should improve the burning a lot. Good Luck.

Emu oil works really well on burns...even like sunburn and things like that. You can get it at a natural store or health food store.
