How to Pick a Pediatrician

I have been going to Cockerell and McIntosh Pediatrics for about 10 years.I have 3 children and my 3 year old has had health problems since birth.I personally LOVE Dr.Kirby-Diaz and am comfortable with most of the others I have seen in the office.I also know lots of other people that use them.There is an office in Blue Springs at St.Mary's and there is one in Independence as well.The number is ###-###-####.Hope you find a Doc you love for your baby as much as I do ours!God Bless!

I live in Independence and drive up north to Pediatric Care North. All the pediatricians are moms and all are wonderful. My children's assigned doctor is Stephanie Marx but we have seen ALL of the doctors and have been pleased as no question is too "silly" and they are very nurturing. The found my daughter's scoliosis in the early stage, helped me with my son's speech problem, etc. I've been going there 14 years now and it is worth the drive.

I would highly recommend our doctor in Liberty - John Burroughs. He is a family practioner, not a pediatrician, but he is highly skilled, and his office staff is AMAZING! Everyone there was so very kind and patient with me while I called at every little thing when my son was a newborn! The office number is ###-###-#### if you are interested.

I have to agree with the comments about Stephanie Marx at Ped. Care North, she is great but we ended up switching because it seems like we could never get in. Even if we called first thing in the morning we were usually seeing someone else in the practice because she is so popular.

We now go to Dr. Alan Grimes who is at Priority Care Peds. He is really great with the kids, always listens to my concerns and seems to be on top of things.

I was going to tell you to go see Stephanie Marx at pediatric care north. She is an awesome lady and doctor. But someone beat me to the punch. Good luck and God Bless.

I really like Dr. Paul Lively in Liberty. I used to go to Pediatric Care North, but they kept giving me a hard time about my daughter's weight. She is small, but I only weighed 92 lbs when I graduated from High School. I would give anything to be that small again, but anyway, Dr. Lively took one look at each of us and said she will probably just be small. Good Luck!

pediatric care north is an awesome place. It is off 152 and Platte Purchase. The # is ###-###-####. We see Dr. Ridell but all the docs seem pretty good.
