How Soon Till Start Showing with Baby #3

I just found out that I am pregnant with child number three. Amazingly enough all three were conceived the old fashioned way without medical intervention. This was after 3 different fertility specailists(1985, and 2 in 1992) told me I would never be able to conceive a child.
My question is how long till you start showing with the third. With my first child I started to show at 4 1/2 to 5 months. The second I started wearing maternity pants between 8-11 weeks but was showing at 3 months. We have several family engagements this summer don't know where to look for clothes. I currently weigh less than what I did before my first child was concieved but I wear woman's size 12-14 pants and 16-18 tops. Since I am large busted to begin with I was able to wear regular tops throughout my prior pregnancies as long as they were long enough to cover the bump. As many of the maternity pants on the market these days don't offer full belly panels, and I am 43 and not comfortable with my belly hanging out and being exposed I need some assistance. I bought some pants from motherhood maternity during the last pregnacy and they fell apart in the the washing machine the first time I washed them. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

With my first I started showing at about 5 months, with my second about the same time and with my 3rd about 6 months. I also lose weight with each pregnancy. After each pregnancy I am smaller after I've delivered than I was when I started. I joke with my husband that we should have 7 or 9 kids!!

I am 6 wks away from delivering #3 and I began this pregnancy about 20 lbs heavier that I did my first two. I started to "relax" and sort of let my belling hang as opposed to sucking it in all the time at around 10 weeks. As far as clothing is concerned, some places offer a mid-belly pant, which is great until you are late in your pregnancy, then nothing seems to stay up on the belly...lol. I would highly reccommend something to you though. At Babies R Us it is called a tummy sleave (sp), it is also available at Motherhood but I think they call it the belly band, and it is about $10 more there. It is a sort of "tube top" looking thing made of a microfiber/spandex meaterial. It looks very small when you pull it out of the package, but believe me, it will fit you, no matter what size you are. What it does is helps to hold up those under the belly pants. It covers your belly much like the old full panel pants, and not to mention helps give you that "pregnant shape" during those couple of months that you look more fat than pregnant. I don't wear anything without it. I have four of them! It can also be worn early on with you "regular" pants if you can put them on, but not button them. It will help hold them up. One thing I have learnd the hard way though, is do not put it in the washer, but wash it by hand and then tumble dry to reshape. For some reason, the seams are very thin and don't hold up in the washer. Once the seams come out, it just doesn't work the same. But for the price, I just bought more. I only paid $16.95 at Babies R Us.

Hope this helps

Old navy offers maternity clothes online. I've never seen them in the stores, but I have bought several of my maternity clothes from them b/c i am plus size and no one seems to sell any plus size maternity clothes in stores. Old navy has $5 flat fee for any shipping (no matter how big the order), and they do offer all different styles of pants (full panel, roll panel, and low-rise) fairly inexpensively. The pants I have bought from them have held up well so far.

I loved my stuff from Motherhood Maternity! Oh, sorry I just read that yours fell apart...oops! ;) I also got some really good deals on some stuff at JC Penney. They had a really great sale ( I think it was a BOGO) and I got some top name stuff for really cheap. Second hand stores are really good for maternity clothes too.

With my third, I started showing about 5 minutes after the doctor said, "Yup, you're pregnant." I was as big as a barge by the time Hannah came along. I got really cute maternity clothes at Target. None fell apart and they didn't cost an arm and a leg. Oh, and they were halfway stylish.

*just wanted to add, they had the full tummy panels. I can't stand my belly sticking out.

Hi K....congrats on your pregnancy...you will be showing really soon I bet! Check the clearance racks at JCPenney's, you can usually find some great things there!

Good Luck, D. R.

I have to agree that Old Navy has some great cloths. Also, Lane Bryant has plenty of tops that flow and since I was heavier during my pregnancy I was able to wear them. Also sears had some great things as well.

You will probably show in about the same amount of time or sooner than with your second.
